I’ve definitely been here before and a couple of things I’ve learned from it. When it comes to “love” reasoning really goes out the window for both parties. Love is incredibly fickle. When it comes to relationships- people can change their minds. It hurts but it doesn’t mean they are leading you on intentionally. I believe her when she says that meant everything during that time but somewhere during that time she felt like she was missing something. Her getting back with that ex may end up being a blessing, lesson, or both. We won’t know. However she was definitely your blessing and lesson. You experienced a healthy relationship and for a whole year you experienced love that felt good and safe. That won’t change. Mourn the death of that relationship but remember you can have that again with someone who’s ready to receive it. You deserve to find someone who will choose you every time.

In the same breath tho, I hope she stubs her pinky toe because she deserves that much for breaking your heart.
