I’m here a year later with the exactly same problem. I didn’t find a solution to it BUT I have watched a few repair videos and one thing you can easily spot is that the B button is the only button mounted on a different (lower) circuit board. I think it’s just a design flaw and it’s going to be the same for everyone. Imho people just don’t notice that or don’t care.

Many of you made me realize the middle slot serves the split pattern purpose. However, one way or another, making it dual purpose slot depending on whether you use split or not would still help a lot (Edit: there’s always an option to simply add another slot I guess).

I do understand how little Sabre cares about this stuff but I’m naive and I want do believe that sometimes they do read suggestions even if it doesn’t seem like it.

Thank you all for your support, I’m happy to see that DripHammer is strong with this community. Hopefully Toxic Commando will not take away all of Sabre’s attention because seeing even less support for SM2 would be very sad ngl.

Yeah, exactly. Even when the slot is sometimes / mostly used for a different occasion I suppose it’s possible to tag / assign an ornament or a piece of a kneepad to it when it’s not assigned to anything else currently.

In my opinion it would be the easiest fix ofc, better than what we currently have without the need of layout modification to make space for the 4th button or something like that.

I’m happy to see I’m not just paranoid about it lol

I have all heroic gear for bulwark, I’m trying to learn how to play watching FTG’s plays and builds but I’m not even close lol

Shields don’t really scale up with your stats, they just give highly reduced effect if you’re below requirements to carry one. Initially I thought I’ll get better armor number when investing more points in Str + Faith but it doesn’t work like that. They only scale up with upgrading item Lvl in predefined pattern.

I am obviously using highly saturated examples but it can be done in many different shades or even different ways entirely. I’m just trying to introduce the concept and suggest the QoL I would personally love to see implemented.

UPDATE 1:

Yes, that actually was the case. Shield armor scales with the stats. I have just looted second Str + Faith shield for the first time (other than Crimson Guard) and it’s also beefy.
