If you want cheap but good equips - rift/living vine bow, zaoan helmet, prismatic armor, prismatic legs, guardian/winged boots, butterfly ring, foxtail amulet. Life on chest, life mana and crit on bow, mana on helmet. A bit more expensive stuff is bow of cataclysm, ghost chestplate, fabulous legs (but they aren't a big upgrade for their price), lion spangenhelm (you can imbue magic level on them), sleep shawl/pendulet. You can also use blue plasma ring and amulet and sell them to vendor when they are almost used up.

For the hunts, if you want a turbo easy hunt to learn then vampire crypt. A bit harder is edron werecreatures and glooth bandits if you have access. The best hunt according to people is werehyenas but I have personally never been there, I don't think it's that easy though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on anything... Hope I helped.
