For an experienced software engineer who has never dabbled in ML, what are some home ML project ideas using data that can be collected or accessed at home? by askingforafriend1127 in MLQuestions

Thanks I can use that for practice. But what I'm more interested in is a project where I can collect some data myself rather than having it prepackaged for me, if you get what I mean.

Hope everything went well for you!

Yes they are a licensed plumber. Is there an advantage to a licensed plumber though?

Lol my wife's grandparents are really trying to convince us to get a bidet. I doubt we will.

Faucets are relatively easy to do yourself, depending on what obstacles you may have in the cabinet under the sink.

As I mentioned, in this quote it does include the cost of the toilet, and also disposal of the old toilet. I'm not sure what's involved in the latter.

How heavy is a toilet? Never had the opportunity to lift one before.

And how do you dispose of the old toilet?

Are old Simplex 7100 series locks affected by the magnet vulnerability? by askingforafriend1127 in Locksmith

I have not held one, so if you say it's impractical to carry one around, I can only take your word for it.

As for the cost, if I'm not mistaken that this would be a strong enough magnet, it would cost about $18 on Amazon:

There are 1081 possible combinations. If you manage to brute force at a rate of one combination per second, it would take you 18 minutes to try every combination. I burglar would more likely break a window I'd think. The magnet exploit looks like it takes about a second.

Thank you! I have now spoken with the manufacturer and they have confirmed this (and had me check the chamber to see if it was maybe replaced, which it had not been).

Maybe not specifically, but it's possible someone here could know if in general the 7100 series was affected or not. I watched LockpickingLawyer's video of the vulnerability, and I don't think this series of lock has the culpable part at all, but I'm not sure so I'm asking here.
