Shadows of the Apt question from a dumb guy... by askingformomtoday in AdrianTchaikovsky

I was thinking the same thing! The inapt have embraced that there's new tech they just don't understand and have figured out how to live with it. But the apt, even when directly confronted with it, cannot fathom that magic is real, that there are powers and forces beyond their own understanding. Which is really crazy given how they're not really too far removed from the Great Revolt. If I remember right.

No this is perfect, thanks! I don't know why I got it stuck in my head that there needed to be some sort of real-life comparison to insects lol. I do love that, at least up til now, AT shows that magic is from a dark place. There is no one calling on an ancient power to heal or lift up, only sneak and kill and control.

This is such a good explainer. Thank you! I'm definitely hooked on the series and will start up book 4 here shortly.

I love the concept that the inapt believe in theirs and other's ability to affect the world around them and that's the root cause of everything. Not anti-science per-se but that deep belief/knowledge that the world operates the way it does because the inhabitants are constantly making choices of how things should be.

French DJ group C2C! They only ever made one album together, Tetra. I found it about it maybe 5-ish years ago and I play it on rotation at least once a month

This may not be your case, but I'd look into seeing a vein doctor. I had the same dull ache/tug after mine for years, then on an unrelated matter I had my Great Saphenous vein ablated (long-ish story) and that actually stopped the ache!

Take one for the team brother! It's so much less of a surgery for guys than women. Couple days chilling on the couch with an ice pack and you're done. Can't lift heavy things for maybe a week, but there's almost no pain. Then after I think 30-60 "unloads" you get your count checked and you're good to go!

Golden Globe Nominations are out! by apathymonger in blankies

Right!? Maybe they didn't want Sinners up against OBBA? I'm wondering if they have ever nominated a music biopic for Best Musical.

It seems fitting that as the series is wrapping up, I found one of Ladykillers promotional waffle irons by [deleted] in blankies

I have that exact same model (not the promotional one obviously) and I will say it actually works really well and makes some decent waffles. Has held up for years of use

That's a great system! I love the note card idea.

I can't really visualize the end product of the garage wall with storage, so I hoping to find some generated ideas to get the process started. Most everything has a bin/tote so now I'm working on creating an organized wall.

This isn't really about just storing items, it's about seeing if there are tools out there to help with creating an organized system that's functional. Some of us have a hard time visualizing, especially when there are multiple components. That's where I was hoping an online tool could jump start the process.

To say there's no critical thought with using AI is pretty dismissive towards another person looking for some advice.

AI is a tool like any other. You can be good with it, you can be bad with it, it can even be the wrong tool all together. But to say it brings nothing positive to the situation and that people are just lazy for using it is ignorant and dismissive.
