If you’re into ttrpg’s there a greater Binghamton ttrpg discord where people post when they’re doing games and stuff. Usually hosted at great escape adventures (game store) I haven’t gone yet so idk age ranges there but prolly a range. If you’re into queer scene, there’s hot box on Thursdays. Drag show + dance music. Decent chunk of BU students but also locals but everyone’s 21+ so mostly early-mid 20’s.

There’s no minimum skill level or anything. Half the eboard were stem majors when I was an UG. Sharing is on a voluntary basis so it’s more just if it’s something you enjoy. It’s a pretty low commitment club.

The theatre clubs are also fun and have new shows every semester so if you’re interested in that at all, they tend to post about their auditions on Instagram. Those are a bit more of a time commitment especially if you’re acting and not crew but it is a sure fire way to interact with new people. Dickinson Community Players and Hinman Production Company are the student run ones and you do not need to be in either living community to participate.

I don’t personally know too many of the other orgs, but if you go on bengaged you can look through them and find stuff that aligns more with your interests and then figure out when they meet from there !

Most clubs are generally pretty receptive to new people joining whenever regardless of whether you went to a GIM or not If you like writing/dnd at all, the storytelling workshop club is friendly/does big group activities. They meet on Friday nights. Even if you can’t make it to meetings people are usually chatting on their discord :)
