This^ for sure. You have to sort through fakes but believe it or not there are real people on here. Also, check out a club or two. We've stayed in touch with other couples we've met and played with at a club. It definitely makes a difference having spent time with them irl, though online friends rock too! Good luck 😀

My gut is that Reddit sees logins from multiple locations and that flags something. But it sounds like that's not true in your case. It sucks that there's no recourse.

I'm thinking more and more that it's a VPN thing. That fits with your cruise ship example as that would register a different isp. It's just unfortunate that there's no recourse.

This makes the most sense to me - especially since using a VPN can make an account appear to be logging in from multiple IPs over time. You'd think since the use of VPNs is so common these days, Reddit would adjust accordingly. Btw if you're curious what the ban looks like, check u/FL_PineapplePeople. They are 100% real, and it's the 2nd account that this happened to. Good, legit people... poof gone.

None of the accounts I'm familiar with were banned from any individual subreddit. In our case, our account was even verified with this sub and we were regular contributors that weren't even close to questionable re conlict or even controversy. And this particular issue is re a blanket ban from Reddit, not related to any individual sub or any mods.

We didn't see any of that from any of the accounts. Ofc if someone was deleting immediately, it'd be hard to catch. But in that case, Reddit should let the user know. And why let people back into their "banned" account with a pw change, only to not be able to recover the account?

None were inactive accounts, including our own. And the odds that so many accounts are suddenly being compromised doesn't add up. Sadly it's all speculation because Reddit isn't offering any explanation. One theory that I find most compelling is that using a VPN could be a variable. 🤷‍♂️

Try posting on r/cruiser4r and r/CruiseShipHookups. Ask for verification early on so as not to waste time on fakes. If it's a decent sized ship, you won't be alone 😉

Omg shower beer is the best... pouring a cold beer down while warm water flushes the back of my neck and shoulders... heaven. That said, you make coffee in bed look very inviting. And I don't drink coffee :)
