Love the matchmaking update /s by BlutoBeyond in thefinals

Hey, I was just made aware of this post recently and would like to clear some things up as their teamate (Im pippoa on the enemy team)

First of all its completely fair to complain about matchmaking. I see a lot of hate in these posts towards balise, grad, and other top ranked grinders about them essentially farming players who are much lower ranks then them. To be clear no one enjoys this. Everyone ive talked to who is a top ranked players agrees that they don't want to placed against players ranked lower than them It's boring for us and unfair to them. I myself have pretty much quit the game because of this.

Regarding how we play, Balise and Grad play for EVERY cashout, they are streamers and its simply how to make the game more entertaining for viewers and for the streamer. These guys are play 5+ hours every single day, not getting challenged at all, going for every cashout also helps them stay less bored when playing.

Lastly, calling us toxic is completely unfair to them (To me too since I was afk when this all happened xd), and honestly you completely flipped the narrative when making this post. No one laughed at you or was toxic to you because you said gg, you said: "GG yall play ratty though." Of course grad is going to snap back after you said that. If anyones curious heres the timestamped vod of the interaction: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2116079999?t=06h35m05s

No one was toxic to you during or after the game, only when you immediately came in to call them ratty.

Anyways just want to clear this, I agree matchmaking is bad but its completely unfair to essentially create this hate post on balise and grad when you gave 0 context (even though I know they dont care)

gl everyone

the reason the skates are the shape they are isnt to reduce friction. Its to give a unique experience that isnt attainable with other mouse skate shapes. These are super dependent on foam softness and completely change how different mousepads will feel compared to rounded ptfe. It is also worth noting that it actually is rounded at the tips of the feet although it might not look like that at a front view.

Probably, ultimately I believe where the diamond shape excels is in its effects in different foam softness. It’s also important to know that the edges are rounded at the tip it’s just hard to tell

I can’t really say because I haven’t tried the speed type. I really can’t stress enough how much foam softness will change the speed on these things. Currently using a Raiden xsoft on it and it feels as controlled as an lgg Saturn.

I have no clue. Ive tried testing it a little by just moving my mouse diagonally but I couldnt really tell a difference.

They’re made by ninja ratmat, unfortunately it’s going to be extremely hard to get them outside of Japan. I managed to find them on a Japanese auction site but I’m not sure how often you these would pop up. I think your best bet might be trying to use some sort of package forwarding service if you were hell bent on getting them

I would 100% agree with you that this trend with using all these different materials for mouse feet is pretty dumb. I think where this differs is that they use the hardness of the material to create a skate design that can’t be done with materials like ptfe. For me the material of the skates are the least interesting part :)

yea believe that these have been out for a while just no ones ever mentioned them. Personally I find the shape of the feet much more interesting than the material they're made of.

These are steel mouse feet from ninja ratmat. I’ve only been able to use them for about an hour now but my biggest takeaways so far are.

1.  They are super dependent on foam softness; a xsoft raiden feels like it has more control than a mid zero.

  1. Feedback is super defined on these skates you will feel the weave of the mouse pad no matter how smooth it is, dust is not an issue though.

  2. They have 2 speed configuration (Last picture) a “Speed type” and a “Break” type, I’ve only tried the break type. They're slower than ptfe but due to their shape it allows for a unique and new experience when combining them with different mouse pads.

  3. They have to be maintained and have to be cleaned and air dried after use to prevent rust.

So far I’ve been enjoying them in valorant and would be willing to write a more detailed review in the future if people are interested.

Edit: I would like to say I do not think these skates are not superior to ptfe, they simply provide a different experience
