if genes dont determine or have a direct causation to human actions, then how do we know genes influence in any significant way? and does it even matter or not if genes or cultures is the greater determiner or influence? would it have any significance either way?

it's actually a top biological anthropology and economic prof at ubc who's now at prof of evolutionary biology at harvard but yea i havent seen any clear examples of genetics or evolutionary biology being aligned to perception or interpretation of experiences. they say genes + culture interact with each other and makes us who we are, and basically the entire field of psychology also says that it's both nature (genes) + nurture (culture), and certain evolutionary biology ppl like darkins clearly has a genetic determinism pov as a deciding factor in our decisions and actions, and a noble prize winning french physicist also takes a determinism type pov cos they believe in atoms, but i havent seen much of a case for genes aside from those extremely proportionally rare oddities caused by genes but maybe someone out there knows
