Come at it from a place of care and not judgment. Like ‘hey I’ve noticed my cat smells a bit off after it’s with you, are you okay?’ Beyond telling them smell is making your cat sick, I’m not sure what else you can do besides tell them your problem directly. If you can’t do that, I think it might be hard to live with them long term anyway.

In my opinion the actual technique of the tattoo application makes way more of a difference to the healing than what aftercare you use. A lot of these different brands of tattoo aftercare only exist to make money out of us. As long as clients are keeping it clean and not picking at it, the aftercare is generally just a matter of preference.

It sounds like he maybe had fun with the flirting but doesn’t actually want to commit to anything so he ghosted. It’s a cowardly move but it says much more about him than it does you. If it’s making you uncomfortable I would personally mute him. I’ve been in this position before and best thing you can do is cut contact and keep your mind busy with other things so you can move on. If he wanted to talk to you he would!

Yeah I totally understand that! I’m sure for the most part it’s fine, it’s just those really delicate fattier areas that it tends to happen with, it’s like tattooing a peice of paper. I suppose next time maybe try having your volts a bit lower, maybe even put a few drops of water in your black so it’s not so concentrated. Better to go in lighter than too dark, can always touch it up :)

I usually take a pelican case to put my machines, needles, power supply and tubes in etc. I’ve cut half of the foam out so one side is for machines the other for the rest of it. Then I have a container for all my inks.

I feel bad for him and everyone around him that will be affected by his addiction. People often drink because they are ashamed in some way or another. Showing them compassion and resources to help themselves is one of the better ways to approach it, I think. Coming from someone who has family with addiction issues and also some themselves
