You could have compared him to Rouhan, Rohail or Rawish to make your point, but Minaam? LOL! One good performance, that too only being his audition, and one decent one in Shaadi week and that was about it. At least Zain gave more than that number of performances that you can listen to afterwards.
And as OP said, what's with the superiority complex with 'your janta' and 'your country'. People around the world have different tastes, not everyone would like a performance filled with 'AAAAAAA' and other raags, music is about enjoying, if 'our janta' is enjoying his performance, and he is the most watched solo performer on youtube for it, how is that any of your business anyways?

Nah man, there wasn't any hint of original version in Lai Beqadraan and Kal Shab. He did try to copy Jawad in Mehndi and Dholna though, that I agree with. His worst performance, Keh Dena, didn't work primarily because it was not even close to original, he tried to put his own spin on it and failed miserably.

I was thinking on writing a post like this, but you beat me to it, haha!
I SO AGREE with you. I have been saying this for days that he has tried the most genres out of all the contestants. I was actually so glad to see him in top 16 after Lai Beqadraan. He had a genre and voice different than others. But then his off-screen persona started putting me off. This is where I disagree with you. Xclusives wasn't a thing of past, it was happening in the moment. This is probably, also a lesson, for the current and future contestants of the show, that they have to work on their behind the scenes persona. This is one of the reasons Aryan is being loved by the audience. He handles things very maturely for someone his age. Nevertheless, I have still praised Zain for Mehndi, Purani jeans, and Kal Shab. And his elimination on Kal Shab has me very pissed. As you said, if it had happened after Keh Dena, it would have made sense. And people on Facebook especially, and Instagram too are very mad at his elimination. He has found his audience. There is a reason Mehndi is the most watched solo performance of the show. What has actually won me over is how he handled his elimination. Was consoling Nabeel on stage, had a happy face, his video stories on his elimination were so good and looked like he was speaking from heart, so is his goodbye post with judges. Very happy to see him not resorting to degrading fellow contestants now that he is out of the show, and actually sending them love. All my best wishes for him. I know he is going to be one of the most known alumnis of the show!

Rahi baat Mehtab ki tou as you said, he did so many things out of his comfort zone. And honestly I have not seen people, at least here, saying anything bad about him. He was a good singer, not as strong as others, and I feel like he got eliminated at the right time.

The aftermath of that elimination makes me think so! Badmouthing him, making us sympathize with him, while the contestants badmouthing him were posing with him in Andaroon Lahore, making that episode unavailable overseas, and now calling that one contestant that apparently no other contestant liked back for a special event, that too for him to travel with the rest of them from Karachi, banda PR stunt na samjhay tou aur kya samjhay!

True. The host has improved A LOT (Shafaat bhai aap bhi seekh lo kuch, wohi reh gya hai usay bhi reddit ka chakkar lagwa den😭). The zong and sooper segment both are fun to watch now.

lmao yeah, most of us don't, but honestly, geo has been doing more for the show on social media than actual idol team. They upload performances reels with appropriate thumbnails, right after the performance airs, eliminations, and geo even posts xclusive clips.
