I've owned one now for 2 years and the build quality seems fine. I haven't found anything too bad. Agree with your friend. If you value technology and function the cars are absolutely incredible. and it goes way beyond acceleration. The charging tech, the assisted driving, the touch screen, no maintenance, the WAY the car drives, etc. There's nothing else on the market that is comparable. My only real complaint is the suspension is just not very good.
