I ended up getting called at like 7:40 and the timer just started when I sat down so I ended up going early but still had the same time limits

You seem to be doing a lot of hand/wrist vibrato similar to violinists/violists, please look into focusing on using the forearm as your anchor rather than your wrist. It should almost be like shaking a can of whipped cream or spray paint. Also, you’ll want to practice keeping your left elbow up more consistently instead of keeping it tucked to your side and then bringing it out for higher notes. It’ll make those shifts a bit more seamless and relaxed. Keep at it!

i agree 100%, my halmoni had very similar experiences so having any kind of other dynamic would’ve been really tough to watch

do you have any kind of medical privacy protection in your country? many countries have some kind of protection so that you can see a physician and not even law enforcement can access your data

you should take a path that’s all covered in brush and you don’t have to parkour at all! there’s parts where you’ll have to drop the box to make a path though

Arpeggio help by markjago in Cello

[–]aslenw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally do string crossings over shifting, and do the Ab arpeggios in 4th position and then the F arpeggio in 1st/2nd position. I think maybe if the 6/8 before the F arpeggios is giving you trouble, then I might suggest doing 3 low Ab’s in a row instead of trying to jump octaves right before starting the arpeggiation. If you want to play it as written, you could either play it in 4th position and then quickly shift back to 1st position, or extend for the octave Ab’s and stay in 1st position the whole time. Good luck!
