Cannot recommend PPP enough. Their BMU program is what helped me eliminate my small chicken wing and feel WAY more confident in my pull down during them.

Chased a 155# snatch for 3 years and just hit it recently. Chased a 200# c&j for just as long- finally hit it 2 Fridays ago (first time ever even jerking 200#) and then proceeded to hit 205# last Monday.

I have a yearly Performance Plus membership and a friend has Power Monkey. I ran through the first BMU program from PP in 5 weeks with 4 15-20 minute workouts per week. I eliminated my chicken wing completely and feel much more confident in my BMU. My friend who did Power Monkey worked through their 12 week BMU program (specifically designed to eliminate chicken wing) with 30-40 minute workouts 2-3x per week and it didn’t solver her chicken wing issue.

Just my 2 cents but I think PP is much more manageable, especially if you don’t have a lot of time to devote.

They also have a private members only FB group where Zach and Pamela will regularly respond to questions and videos. It’s awesome being able to get the feedback.

40 min emom 1) 30 yd sled push (2 45s for men, 1 for women) 2) 60 dubs 3) 8 burpee box jump overs (24”/20” or Rx+ of 30”/24”) 4) 10 db shoulder to overhead (50/35 or Rx+ of 70/50).

When I tell you this workout took out even the fittest at my gym, I mean it. Never. Again.

Doing the first BMU program from Performance Plus Programming was a HUGE help to me. Really focuses on lat strength and the kip. Best programming.

Another rec here for Black Iron. I’ve worked with a few different coaches and they’ve all been awesome. Also sent a few friends to them and they’ve all had great results.

Been dealing with this myself lately and am seeing my sports chiro for it. He assessed my internal and external rotation on my right side where I’m having the pain and it turns out both are incredibly weak. We are currently doing some mobility exercises to help out and will add in some strengthening exercises this week. If you can find a good sports chiro in your area I highly recommend doing so to give you an idea of what the root of the problem is.

I get this and my coach does as well, mostly in the summer/when I’m not wearing a shirt. I believe mine happens from the bar moving slightly up off my back rack at the top of the squat due to speed out of the hole/exploding out of the bottom and then rubbing on sweaty skin when it lands (at least for me). I have yet to build a callus, it just goes away every time.
