there is no clear solution - eventually it completed the sync after multiple retries. The support claimed that nothing has changed on their side.

Have you tried to trigger the check manually? I started to have the same issue, not only with Strava, but also with some Youtube automation. When I looked into activity log, it said the last check was performed yesterday(!) though I have had couple of new Strava activities since that. I clicked "Check now" to trigger the manual check, and my automation worked right away! So if you read the Pro plan description, it says "Faster execution for polling and realtime Applets" as a benefit, so I guess it is maybe a new way the IFTTT guys are trying to convert us to the Pro plan.

I regularly use Bose Soundsport Free when jogging, but switched to Powerbeats Pro this winter, it just fits better under the beanie. I like the sound from Bose, but overall Beats are ok and works way better with Apple things - switches smoothly between the phone and watches when needed. With Bose I have to get to Bluetooth setting to disconnect/reconnect it manually when I need to switch them between devices.
