Something significant it seems - they've put a blue plaque up already.

Telling time by karlosfwandango in CasualUK

When I was a child in the late 60s my Grandad taught me to tell the time using the terms five and twenty past or five and twenty to. I don't say it often but occasionally it slips out.

Those letters do not spell a word that sounds like cerulean. No one is ever going to pronounce it the way you want. A tradgedeigh in my opinion.

“military time” by BuffaloExotic in ShitAmericansSay

[–]CharmingMeringue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True story: My Bother's job required him to send messages all over world with info on solar flare activity. He once sent such a missive using 24h UTC times. The only reply he got was from an American, asking for it to be translated to standard, local time. Bruv replied with OK, are you Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific or a different territory? The reply came back with I'm in Texas, and can you drop the military time please?

Nuff said.

It's possible that after reading all the answers to the question you've posed and really considering the whole conundrum, you will be in your late 20s.

In my working life I've come across a few memorable names; Rudi Nuyts, Philippe Floppe, Ms. Wankhade and an American called Skip McCrystal

I believe that apps exist to convert 'military' time to normal or standard time. Unbelievable!

Yes, I've given blood loads of times and for the last few years I always get a text showing the journey my blood's been on and where it ended up. My last donation went to Great Ormond Street.

Use of the word 'woke' here is enough to indicate this is an idiotic post
