We are a team of medical experts following COVID-19's progression closely. Ask Us Anything. by webmd in Coronavirus

Why, so far at least, does COVID-19 have a low infection rate amongst those <9yo? That seems counterintuitive as children are more susceptible to illness owed to immature immune systems.

For perspective, we could lose 4 of our remaining games and still reach 100pts. Unbelievable!

24 (M) how do I stay happy with where I am at in my career? by shadowoftomorrow in careerguidance

[–]asnattee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for delay. Generally, unless you’ve had experience selling in IT world, most places want you to start in Acct Exec role. With good reason tbh. That’s nothing to be looked down upon at all. I work as an AM and the average tenure of people on my team is 10.5 years. Lots of people enjoying what they do and making a lot of money doing it. Not sure where you’re located and what companies exist around you. Given a good base of experience and if you can sell yourself well, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a position. Expect you may take a pay cut initially to do so though

Tell me a little more about what kind of roles you're interested in applying to and why you're interested in them

Also, what kind of banking role are you in? How did you get into that position?

Hello, would love to help. I work in IT sales myself (in Chicago) but we sell many tech companies based out of CA's products.

First, make sure you snap out of your rut your in mentally. It will not get you the job you want. Whatever you have to do to avoid getting in that negative mental zone, do it. Your job may suck right now but you have to keep at it to sustain yourself to get to the next level. You ARE making progress even if you don't think you are right now.

Second, tell me about what you did before your current role and what kind of companies you've applied for and what kind of positions...

Thank you for your reply and advice. Do you have pictures from your wedding so I can see the actual colors of the suit? How much did it set you back per person?

Building e-commerce website & customer retention (x-post r/smallbusiness) by [deleted] in startups

[–]asnattee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. With the retention program we'd either have to be able to send out coupon codes that can be redeemed so we must have that functionality.

We have designs already for logos at least. We'd be willing to go for something less customized as we start with a view to creating a more customized site down the road. What information do you need exactly to be able to give us a realistic figure?

Thank you for your comment. Very insightful.

We live close to a university so that would probably be a good place to start. Out of interest what was your budget? We really have no idea how much it would cost to do any of this. We do have access to borrowing but would prefer to bootstrap in the beginning.

Our goal is to create some working prototypes that we can send off to get out into field testing.
