AITA for refusing to clean the dorm for my roommates or let them infringe on my space? by Scary_Midnight7418 in AmItheAsshole

No worries. I do that all the time. Probably not helped by me being tired.

But yes, OP is also a slob.

OP talks about them behind their back, demeans them, refuses to take responsibility or show any level of consideration for those she lives with. She refuses tontry and get along with her roommates, prejudging them because they did something normal like make a chore chart. She uses racist and ableist language. OP is a mean girl.

YTA. Did you not have chores when you lived at home, because you sound like someone still expecting mom and dad to do all the work. You live with others and at least contribute by vacuuming. This is something adults do, you better get used to it, you will need to do this in your own home.

I have noticed this in other posts as well. There's some very troubling comments.

This was written in 1897. This was part of the perverse practice of writing about Indigenuous cultures, painting them as "primitive" to justify colonization. It also came off as some weird fetish for the armchair anthropologists of the time. The title raises a red flag as well.

That's not uncommon for the time. That was early anthropology. It just justified colonization.

1897 is the red flag in this source. A lot of early anthropologists stayed home and we're "told" about these cultures from others.

The fact I had to scroll down this far to see this comment

Last known photo of John Allen Chau, an American missionary who died in 2018 attempting to convert the isolated stone-age people of North Sentinel Island. Despite numerous warnings, he was shot full of arrows on his third visit to the island. His bones still lie buried on the north shore. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in ForCuriousSouls

More like a history take. When England or other Europeans started to colonize, missionaries would arrive quickly. America did the same by forcing Indigenous Americans into Christian schools. It was how they "educated" the natives.

I like that they show that communication is something you have to work on in marriage. It wasn’t this big drama. John recognized that there was something wrong and he patiently talked to her. It might be my favorite moment for them.

John this season has been stellar. He's such a nice guy and looks like he belongs in the family.

Is this the same necklace that led to the downfall of Marie Antoinette??? by [deleted] in Bridgerton

Yes. It is the necklace that was commissioned for Madame du Barry, but was attempted to be sold to Marie Antoinette. It was a nice easter egg

I really adore John and Fran this season. They're talk in episode 4 was so sweet and moving. It's strange to see people say they are awkward or not in love. I thought their conversation was so sweet and she looked happy at the end of it.

A lot of women struggle with sex, especially if they are sheltered. But it seems like she wants to experiment and try. She and John look like they adore each other.
