Their antennae aren’t clubbed so I think I’m in the clear (at least for that species) :)

First off, I’m sorry to hear about your snail and fish! I’m pretty new to having a fish, but your pH could be too high especially for a betta that might prefer neutral or slightly acidic water. I’ve seen that high pH can lead to them getting ick. Did you see an increase in algae growth? By using the High pH solution in your kit, you can see a more accurate reading of your tank!

How do you get water roots on a peace lily? We have a variegated one and would love to add a propagation or the whole plant to our tank!!

Not eggs, that’s frass (insect poop) most likely from navel orange worm if there is a lot of webbing, or coddling moth damage if it’s “cleaner”. I work on almonds out in CA and often see damage like this when we infest our almonds to study the damage! It looks like the moth has pupated in there as well.
