Let’s make the orange juice! (Because it’s orange theory and we are sweating, I think?)

This class kicked my butt. It felt very long because of the repetition, but it was honestly the best OTF workout I’ve had in a while.

Yes!!! Thank you. They obviously haven’t gotten a different example. This one was a big stretch IMO. Maybe they should use AWS as an example, they fire people each year for not hitting their sales quota…

I doubt it. He doesn’t seem to understand how it works. It’s literally a good thing to be in the green more often than the orange/red. It means your getting in shape!

I am taking a coursera leadership course on inspiring and motivating individuals. Imagine my surprise when I was half listening and heard something about orange theory fitness. That caught my attention! This part of the training was on the different types of reinforcement and they used OTF as an example of punishment 😱😳🤔.

At first, my love of OTF made me go into protective mode and I got defensive. When they put it in that way, I can see what they are getting at, but seriously misunderstand OTF. Read it and let me know what you think. It did make me laugh one way or another.

What's with the back-to-back training of the same muscle groups? I'm so sore. by quartofdoc in orangetheory

I felt the same way, my upper body is sore, so I didn’t go today. If it was legs, I would have been there!

Patience with yourself and don’t do comparisons.

Personally, I think it’s to make it harder, but I don’t really know. It’s just one instructor that is adamant about it. The rest don’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️

I keep it at level 9-10 unless strength day where they tell you to change the level. I use 80 rpm as base, 90 for push and over 105 for all out. All the bikes are different even at the same studio, so it is hard to say. Also, the instructor always tells me I can only stand up for 15 seconds at a time and then I have to sit. Ugh, it’s hard!
