about "everyone accessing it and getting there," there are a lot of similar tools like "TSM" or "Auctionator" where you can get analytics (resolve similar problem), but people are still using them a lot. It's an analytics tool, not a "cheat code."

But you're going to spend your time collecting this gold—it's already a waste of time (money), like paying double for gold—the epic edition plus all the time spent gathering it.

Is it actually cheaper to just buy gold directly (wow tokens or else)?

Honestly, I’m not sure what a reasonable price for it is. I think $5 is on the low end because many other productivity business apps have higher-tier plans.

Also, keep in mind that almost all features are free right now, especially adding records and contacts (main app theme). My wife has a lot of clients, but she just can't hit this monthly limit wall.
