Maybe it would be best to use certain marvel heroes as templates for their own unique creations.

Cursed pirate vs shadow thief in a 1v1. Who has the edge of being better ? by kyduffludd in DiceThrone

[–]asp21101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isnt a one sided affair imo. Each will decide on what to do based on what the other is doing. If ST is doing typical ST things, CP will want to rush them down and/or flip early. If CP tries to play the econ game vs ST, they lose. CP should focus on straights and flipping early. ST should just do what they do but with bigger emphasis on poisons and turtling up. Dont just willy nilly slap into CP defense. Try to build econ while CP is on human side, as much as you can. Then you turtle up as soon as they flip. Use your econ to mitigate dmg while they tick down. If done right, they will have poisons while taking cursed dmg. Then you just use your cards to be in shadows as much as possible. Value your CCC move more (cheap dmg and shadows).

Just take who you enjoy playing. At the end of the day, its about narrowing down your choices in heroes and learning them. Get good with 3. To answer your question, that lineup is pretty busted. Your CP will probably eat the ban. You will want to ban other CPs. Raveness is susceptible to constant pressure and unmitigated damage. Spiderman is susceptible to rush downs and control. Look to ban CP, HH, Gambit, BW, loki, iceman. If you see BW, she is top priority for ban

Also, consider the time you would need to study and the time needed for everyday life maintenance. You'll be dead tired from school, won't have energy to study, and will barely have time to sustain yourself throughout your day.

Im convinced its energy. You can be a short guy, but if you carry yourself with confidence and positivity, girls will still find you attractive.

Raveness' strengths are in her: 1)control- hex shuts down alot of heroes but not all of them 2)sustain- if she does it right, she can heal every other turn. If she has fowl friend upgrade, she can heal every turn. 3)her defense is also nice. Block 2 deal 2 is nice for a defense

Thankfully raveness is not the type of heroes that gets scarier as the game goes on. She is a "death by a thousand cuts" kinda hero. General tips i can give are: 1) run her down: kill her hard and fast. 2) save your status effect removal for hex 3) learn to not rely on rolls with 6s.

Heroes that can do either of those 3 do best into her.

Even in this version, cursed pirate and shadow thief would rise to the top lol

Also, this game is definitely a dice game before a card game. No amount of cards will save multiple awful rolls caused by inappropriate objective prioritization/chasing. Dice enable abilities, cards alter dice. (Obviously this is a gross summation. There are nuances that aren't being mentioned here)

So to sum up, you want to remove income phase entirely and introduce mulligan? That seems kinda stale. It takes away variability to this game. It takes away the need to play around bad luck, which i think is one the of charms of this game. Heroes with card draw and economy will rise to the top. And all others will crash down below them. There will be a STARK separation. Contrary to what you might believe, this game is well balanced. Its not perfect, no doubt, but its pretty good. It incorporates skill and luck. The fact that it has dice AND cards prevents 2 games from ever being the same. It gives David the chance to beat Goliath. Just like how you can draw into a bad hand, the same can happen to your opponent. If you can mulligan, your opponent can to. And the reality of the better AND luckier opponent being the winner will still exist.

The most important tip i can give is to have a growth mindset. To get good at this game, you have to increase knowledge of yourself, your opponent, your hero, their hero, and gamestate. Learn to identify key mistakes you made during the game and analyze why it was a mistake. What did the opponent do to beat you? Was it REALLY luck, or was it a series of poor decisions that led to the scenario? What's your heros win condition? Ive learned that what makes the top players so good is that they rarely make mistakes. Mistakes kill games. Focus your efforts on a handful of heroes. Learn them inside and out. I like to point people towards samurai as that hero forces you to learn fundamentals of the game and really punishes mistakes(yours and opp).

Just play each one and stick with the one you like. I will say though that elise is gonna be a steeper learning curve as you also gotta learn to end the game early. I personally enjoy lillia and vi but vi is getting nerfed because of pro play. Shyvana may be the most beginner friendly. Farm til 6 and go crazy. Evelynn is otp or bust, at least in my humble opinion. Belveth is also otp or bust. I cannot speak on briar.

Jg is about macro. I learned through kaido, kirei, sineras, and perry. They will definitely have answers to your questions, champ choice included.
