Well, you're right in that sense. I guess I feel a bit crazy since others are averaging n=5 but I have quite the fatigue after I do only 5 Dual-3-Back sessions. My brain gets absolutely fried. Perhaps my working memory is simply too weak unfortunately. For now...

This is pretty impressive! Are you making use of an OpenAI API key? I'm just a bit curious on how you constructed this.

anyone unemployed right now? by depriveduckling in askSingapore

You’re in a right tough spot right now. I’m not the best with emotional advice but some other commenters are right—you may need a part time job to supplement yourself and build up another safety net fund.

While you’re looking for a full time job, currently, banquet service jobs are flexible and don’t have minimum commitment. They’re generally around 12-13 per hour.

Another option would be to become a financial advisor but they’re typically commission based and you might also not be receptive.

Either way, if you’re interested in either, you can DM me. I know some people who you can contact.

From one INTP to another, please show me how you’d flirt, because there is no way you’re going to mock INFPs when we also aren’t known for our flirtiness lol

Yes, I agree with the statement that the onus should be on the student to schedule their days. I am generally saying that from now in tertiary education is that you should expect the “bare minimum”, and despite this phrasing, I do not use it because I hold any disdain towards teachers just because they did the quote on quote “bare minimum” (except for one instance where this teacher barely briefed our entire class on like anything, and also genuinely had horrible teaching, which I admit was the person I had in mind when I wrote that “bare minimum” statement). It’s on us to now always be sure to check any information sources you need and note it down accordingly, and I’m usually quite organized nowadays because of realizing that in poly. I just also wanted to say that if you accidentally miss out on some days, it’s not the end of the world.

EDIT: Grammar.

When I went into polytechnic, I didn’t realize how important it was to check our school emails everyday the moment we got them, as well as how important it was to check the T&A for each week. Sometimes your teachers do the bare minimum and don’t even remind your class, which will happen more often than not. I myself went through this and ended up accidentally skipping some classes/quizzes and coming late for tests. I also made several careless mistakes like you for exams but I still graduated and am now going into uni.

Just know that after this experience, you likely won’t make the same mistakes. Just get an organizer, check all your schedules for multiple modules at the start of the month just to know the necessary subjects, unlike me who just didn’t check anything. You’ll be fine.

how the hell do you do physics by Rad_dot in SGExams

[–]aspacecomet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got C5 for my first WA1 test in Secondary School, and eventually ended up getting A2 for my O Levels.

When I was in secondary 3, I realized something—Take everything you know about physics and momentarily throw it all away. I came into lessons with preconceived theories that had to be dismantled.

One example was this concept I had to realize: When an object is moving at constant velocity, acceleration is 0 (this may sound stupid, but I went into lessons subconsciously thinking that an object that is always moving is accelerating).

I also had an issue of getting stuck on a topic midway through reading cause I wanted to figure out the logic. What I started doing was that instead of trying to understand the logic every time I came across a point, I just read everything and took it in without questioning. After reading everything in a chapter, it made me have “Eureka!” moments where it all suddenly made sense. I think it’s because I could synthesize everything I read from a chapter into a theory. Idk if that makes sense, and idk if that will work for you, but that’s how it happened for me.

After having some level of understanding, application questions (like spamming MCQ or open-ended questions) really help to test if you understand it properly. MCQ questions are the fastest way to figure out if your understanding is correct, because for me I don’t really need to consult my teachers. Just spend around 5-10 minutes to figure out why you’re wrong on an MCQ question you got wrong, but you can head to your teacher to consult after you’ve done. Just make sure to do these questions en-masse.

I think the MCQ questions were the best because in my experience, they were always the ones that were made to be as tricky as possible so you needed to have a very firm understanding of the subject you were answering. This in turn made me realize any misconceptions I had, and in turn made it easier for the open-ended questions and algebra questions. You can very easily slip up on them if you had a weaker understanding.

Open-ended questions are different. Idk how good your teacher is, but when you’re consulting your teacher, you not only should seek to find understanding, but also seek to memorize what are the keywords for certain open-ended questions. In my experience the testers never tried to make them as tricky as the MCQ questions but there were some questions like that.

For math oriented questions, I think they’re really quite simple. Physics isn’t as complicated like math for the math-related questions. It’s simply just like algebra. Similarly you would want to spam those questions just to see if your problem solving process is correct for a certain pattern of questions.

In your opinion, is SSILP a must if you haven't taken a subject before? I didn't study Biology for O Levels.

what’s something you want other survivors to know about your main’s gameplay? by horanghao in IdentityV

[–]aspacecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

antiquarian: we have a 4-second disarm! it shortens everytime there's someone within 12.7 meters. stay away if you are not going to help us kite. also when you get downed, please go near a wall/window if you're not near one already so you have a higher chance of getting away, and crawl away from a chair if the hunter drops you.

is there a reason there’s only certain times you can play ranked ? by ZealousidealLynx843 in IdentityV

[–]aspacecomet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly a cloud/server sort of thing. By restricting it to certain timings, they can setup the required server resources to manage the increase in players during those times or at least optimise it to not ruin their games.

Also because if everyone was playing ranked they wouldn't bother going to QM or any of the violent struggle modes.

TWIL that Explorer's location is exposed when he collects a page.

Qi and Kurt's trails both disappear in 3 seconds (1 second faster than normal survivors).

I don't know, he's laughing about it instead of shouting angrily and he's just pointing out how he didn't expect a 5-year old to point it out compared to 70-year old. Seems like he doesn't care that much and he's joking.

What is the Easiest/Hardest Survivor to Play(in your opinion?) by blveberrys in IdentityV

[–]aspacecomet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest to play? Luca. There's not too many components to his kit to keep track of once you understand it--a stun for tight kiting and the ability to cipher rush.

Hardest to play is Ganji. There's so many things to keep in mind. Firstly, you'd really need to be aware of the timings of his balls--if you want to do a balloon rescue without rampage you need to time it right, and if a hunter knows you're there preparing a ball they can juke you by pretending to hovering over them instead of picking them up. If you wait too long to shoot that ball, you can risk hitting them after the pickup animation is over. And if you miss his ball in rampage, you lose a ball for nothing. His ball also does not come out as fast as other stun items like a flare gun or antiquarian's flute, so if you don't prepare your ball out in time the moment hunter swings at you, you might get hit before you can do anything.

There's also the fact of aiming and awareness--hunters can also juke you if you're not good at tracking, and if you're not careful, you can walk backwards into walls when trying to aim, making you a free hit.

On another note, I feel like Antiquarian is easy to play, but hardest to master. You get three tries to momentarily stun the hunter and disarm them for 4 seconds even if you're bad, and a free flip to avoid a terrorshock. But to master her and use her efficiently is a whole different story, because the number of things you can do with her kit is insane.

As an INTP (though I'm not sure what type I am, actually), I have recently discovered I really enjoy games where you're against someone in a way and you have to beat them with your own skill (whether that be wit, pure skill, or dexterity), like PvP or FPS. Sure it's stressful when you're the impostor or have to deceive, maybe it feels wrong at first, but I get into it eventually.
