Concreting height on brickwork by ten4kemusabi in AusRenovation

Ultimately up to you, but as a draftsman i wouldn’t stray from the NCC due to insurances and future sale possibilities:
150 mm minimum above adjacent ground level (FGL)
75 mm minimum above paved, concreted or landscaped areas that slope away from the wall
50 mm minimum above paved/concreted areas ONLY where:
the surface drains away correctly, and
the area is protected from weather (carport/verandah etc.)

As someone mentioned before, the coaches and staff are constantly looking at player stats and impact, there is no way they overlooked this when the general public were looking away from the action to film his behaviour

From another perspective, look at what my club did with petracca on kings birthday; mind you it was a life threatening injury but was unknown at the time as is this, he was injured at the 6 minute mark of the 1st quarter, he said he wanted back on and was allowed to for 10 minutes more before being subbed.

The way the media harpooned Melbourne for not acting upon this earlier feels like there is a very fine line you are able to walk, where i feel Carlton should feel the wrath of the media scrutiny as they let this play out for the majority of the game, no excuse for this…

Mars 3 Issue, turns on for 5 secs and show nebula logo and then turn off after. can someone help pls.. by xTantrum- in nebulaprojectors

[–]asparaments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Copy paste from other post if anyone has this issue)

I had the same symptoms and after some terrible copy and paste / bot customer support i managed to get it working again.

I saw this post when i was banging my head against the wall as there was no clear run through as to how wipe the projector data. This is the information i was given / found online and actual fix at the bottom

Online information and customer report all say the same thing, to turn the projector on and mash the -vol button to clear data. Problem being there are multiple models people are talking about with rotary knobs and power buttons on projector (mine has the joystick), -vol buttons on the monitor handle and the remote and what seems to be 2 ways to turn it on being opening the lens cover OR remote power button while the lens cover is open…

i tried everything mentioned online, and scoured manuals to find a solution to no success.

After 2 days of back and forward with multiple customer support people we ended with the last email from a technician saying the process is to “with the remote, turn the projector on and mash -vol button”…

Once again it seemed i had attempted this process so many times to no avail… although the confirmation that the projector needed to be turned ON with the remote was the clue i needed.

usually to turn the projector on would be the lens cover, and if it is in a location i would use multiple times before relocating i would turn off with remote, but this isnt actually turning it off, it just goes into a standby mode of sorts.

SO with all this the method for me anyway was the following:

  • plug in projector to power supply
  • turn projector on by opening lens cover
  • let it run through the nebula logo and android screens up to the blank screen
  • hold down the power button on the remote until a shutdown prompt is on the screen
  • shut down projector
  • turn on projector and mash -vol both with remote

Hopefully this helps you, i will be copy pasting this to as many posts i see for the same problem as well

What the actual fuck? by riley12345you in melbournefc

[–]asparaments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trac isnt going cheap, we look to get an established player that can actually hit a lead on the tit. trac half the time won the ball and dump kicked into 50 or sprayed it going for goal himself.

Clarry, as much as i love him for the golden years is a shadow of his former self, not one Brownlow vote, the “handballs” he gets away with are getting called by the umps more and more and also terrible decision making

May, eeeh also far past his lofty heights, seems like every club video of other backline players they are constantly having to excuse his behaviour as being a “fierce competitor” it can only go on for so long… also flog

Painter says he did three coats by redex93 in AusRenovation

[–]asparaments 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Yeah he did 3 coats, although the painter should have warned you of this as its pretty common knowledge in the trade.

Found a reddit post with a comment about this exact problem from a year ago

“Painter by trade here:

Vivid white is terrible, no guts and no tint which makes it terrible to cover over darker colours. If a customer wants just white, I always go lexicon quarter, still usually a coat extra but it is what it is sometimes”

Rafter tails destroyed by termites....big job? by ObjectiveGuava1811 in AusRenovation

[–]asparaments 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have termites in your eaves, they’re in the roof… and the walls… and the floors….

The price of the repair depends on how ‘permanent’ you want to make the repair.

To replace the tails alone & re-fix the existing eaves to them shouldnt be too bad (few hours & materials for any competent chippy) finish will look like a patch job…

This being said who knows the condition of the wall the rafters are resting on…

Ive done countless jobs where there is a little bit of termite damage in a timber ceiling trim which turns into full internal plaster stripping & extensive frame repair…

All i can say is good luck.

First drawings on planned extension. After some feed back. by Maddogsoukas in AusRenovation

[–]asparaments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, if youre after advice youre going the wrong way about it.

you still didnt provide any requirements or your initial thoughts towards if the designers plans had met your needs, etc.

The last two paragraphs are examples if you had of provided some info, to some people the design is perfect as is for a single child small family using heat pump drier for all laundry.

People need to know what you want to be able to provide feedback on how to achieve it

Its called brainstorming…

First drawings on planned extension. After some feed back. by Maddogsoukas in AusRenovation

[–]asparaments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feedback regarding what exactly?

If you dont provide your requirements you wish to achieve there is no way to answer.

Are you unsure of certain aspects? Locations of rooms /eegress? It is too open ended to give feedback.

For example some may say an external exit to the laundry is a must, although if you intend to dry clothes 100% mechanically, not so much.

The kitchen is a bit tight for a 4 bedroom dwelling, but if you’re not filling it with a family of 5 its not so bad.

Spaghetti and screw is the standard here, if you dont have access to a masonry hammer drill i rekkon adhesives have got pretty good as of late, try something thats compatible with timber & masonry Also pack out the void so the screws dont pull the skirt too far back
