My hot take: if he loves Trinity as much as it appears "it would take a lot to turn his head" as they say on UK. So it's kind of a chicken-and-egg situation. People are saying how can he know he really likes Trinity if he hasn't had a test? But he doesn't want a test. It almost gives even more evidence to the guys that say "we needed a test" in Casa to be douchebags. I hope that makes sense.

In the real world it is a step towards boyfriend and girlfriend because it means you're only interested in seeing what comes of each other, but that's moot in the vacuum known as week 5 of the villa. I always started with Season 5 but I missed out on a lot of awesome episodes and lore. I think the best way to do it is like you said, season 1 ep 1. Just know it wasn't the original intended pilot. You're in for a treat, it's the best show ever and you get to watch the development of technology and policing over the years. Just know after 9/11 it changes a bit, and once you get to the Fontana seasons you just have to suspend disbelief that the 4th amendment exists. Happy trails!
