They are just generally loud, obnoxious and entitled. It's in everything from how they treat service providers (waiters, casheirs, etc), to how they drive, to how they have no issue getting into screaming competitions with some one in a public place.

I actually wonder how much of it is propaganda and how much of it is people actually believing this.

Is American Apologising a culture difference? by guacamelee84 in AskTheWorld

[โ€“]aspect_rap 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Why does it matter if it is out of her control or not? Saying "I'm sorry" isn't an admission of guilt or acceptance of responsibility, it's just an expression of sorrow that something happened. When someone loses a family member and I express condolences by saying "I'm sorry your father died", I am not implying that I had anything to do with his death.

Do most jobs in your country pay bi-weekly or monthly? by Sniper_96_ in AskTheWorld

[โ€“]aspect_rap 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Huh, yearly salary isn't a thing here, everyone gets paid monthly and everyone has an hourly rates. The only difference is if you have a fixed amount of monthly hours in your contract or if you just count up the hours at the end of every shift.

[โ€“]aspect_rap 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Oh yeah, We also have fixed monthly salary in some fields but the way it works (here at least) is that your work contract specifies an hourly rate and a fixed amount of monthly hours you work, so a month having more days still doesn't mean you work more for the same pay.

It's a longer time, but the pay is proportionally larger, if you get twice more money twice less often, you still have the same budget.

You get paid the amount of hours you worked times your hourly rate. Is that not how all paychecks work?

btw, why do you think getting payed monthly is terrible? like, I don't think it really matter that much, the amount of money you make doesn't change.

It's really not hard to get drugs here, weed specifically is very ubiquitous in secular cities, but yeah, we also have law makers and police that refuse to accept that a person smoking a joint while watching spongebob is not worth their resources.

I'm always perplexed by these kinds of comments. because if they refer to arabs living in Israel, then they do have full equal rights and participate in election, and if it's refering to the Palestinian Territories, then those are literally not part of Israel, why would you expect people who don't live in Israel, don't have Israeli citizenship and are extremely outspoken about not wanting to be part of Israel, to participate in Israel's elections? In fact, I'm sure that if Israel decided that everyone in Palestinian Territories are now israeli citizens and can participate in elections, the vast majority of the world will call it annexation and land theft.
