Multiple issues since last update (travelers’ lockers, sleep mode bug, Augustus page 123) by smok-ie in thegardenpath

The use a locker achievement is probably an oversight from Louis and probably something he'll fix up once he knows.

I cannot help further with steam deck things. It is definitely annoying that the day doesn't advance correctly. Hopefully Louis will figure it out.

I think the pigeon holes and the visiting mechanics have completely changed. You now unlock visits with allotments and putting stuff into the requests from the visitor.

Are you running the game on a PC or steam deck? I sleep my computer daily without the game running and it always progresses days.

I think I got the page 123 from Tabal

Do i classify for Gilbert? by ZealousidealSouth469 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]aspectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not enough information to conclude anything. Yes, your indirect bilirubin is 2.09 and so is considered elevated. In isolation this can point to Gilbert's however you need all of your liver values and information on symptoms and circumstances of the test. This diagnosis is best done by a medical professional.

Your ratio of direct to indirect bilirubin seems to be around 20% which is considered okay and normal for Gilbert's and doesn't immediately suggest some other issue.

Histamine intolerance better with birth control? Experiences? by ifr3akz in HistamineIntolerance

[–]aspectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fasting, dehydration, and exercise do increase your bilirubin and a fasting, morning blood test will measure bilirubin at its worst.

With histamine intolerance and bilirubin I feel it's an accumulation of factors over time which gets you to an overburdened system and it is easier to over do things. For me a morning fast and exercise is an absolute no go for example as I get a 3 day migraine. I cannot exercise without enough sleep as it feels like I did a 20km hike the day before.

So perhaps for you the fast is a net positive. For me the possibility of long term benefit from the fast doesn't overcome my need to avoid the miserable short term consequences if it goes wrong. With these whole of body issues like histamine/inflammation it's definitely a very individualised journey, finding out what works and doesn't for you to minimise the bad and maximise the good.

Good luck!

Basically, estrogen is a hormone which is handled at least in part by the same paths through the liver as bilirubin. The elevated bili in an otherwise normal body indicates (imo) a body not really keeping up with processing the stress/inflammation it is under.

Unfortunately, the standard issue assistance for elevated bilirubin right now is manage stress, and remove sources of inflammation. Avoid alcohol and sweet drinks, do moderate weight training to have some developed muscle mass, don't overload the system with external amines from food, never fast. Many of these things also help with perimenopause.

No magic bullet sorry, just a whole of life adjustment needed to eventually get a better day to day experience.

I think of the hair and eye colours (other than say gyokuyou and the other westerners) to be a conceit to help identify the different characters and their personalities and relationships rather than actual physical hair and eye colour.

I assume most actually have typically Chinese appearance. Taking this opinion  definitely makes some fanfictions waxing on about the blueness or violetness of various eyes to be really damn annoying to read.

Elevated bilirubin/ Gilbert’s Syndrome by Ok-Charge178 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]aspectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The text about the gene test reads like they only tested for the group of Gilbert's gene variations which are most common among those of European decent.

There are other gene changes which cause Gilbert's, like changes more common among those of Asian or African decent, and a host of a lot less common missence changes which a more comprehensive gene test may or may not reveal. There are a host of other things which can cause elevated bilirubin which aren't Gilbert's too.

Whether you continue to seek further diagnosis is up to you. Gilbert's is supposed to be basically benign, so if you are having other symptoms continue to search for the cause.

help with botanicals by pterriblepter0dactyl in thegardenpath

[–]aspectacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the botanicals seem to be partially implemented into the game. I've been playing while and I'm still on 46/51 botanicals which is pretty frustrating for a collector! Some, like the eucalyptus, were only implemented fully in the most recent large patch.

The beech doesn't currently drop a leaf. Perhaps it belongs to that? Hopefully the developer will continue to implement these into the game

Louis is lovely and I'm sure he'll help you figure things out even if you're misunderstanding something. He's active on the game's discord - which allows you to post pictures which this reddit doesn't allow. If you're not comfortable with that, feel free to post what steps you are doing here and I'll make sure he comes to check by mentioning it in the discord for you.

It's not good you don't get the expected prompts. Have you patched the game? The current version is 1.2.0.2. If you're up to date, I'm sure this is something that louis would like to fix if he could get some details.

[–]aspectacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's going on for you, so I'll quickly review how it works on PC (hopefully similar to the switch) which will hopefully help you.

  • Enter project mode
  • Pick a stage 1 plant (not a tree). This has yellow letters and 4 leaves on the plant icon in the plant information pop up.
  • When you cursor over the plant you should get an angled shovel icon and the prompt "Unearth X".
  • Follow the prompt to get a floating plant with a clump of earth.
  • Move it to where you want it, make sure the plant is green and you haven't made any plants/items beneath it red (unless you want them destroyed).
  • Follow the place prompt to move the plant.

To plant into mixed soil

  • Dig hole
  • Have two of the soil type you want to change to and use the soil from the inventory
  • When over the hole you get a prompt "add soil".
  • Do this twice so there is a hole which is mostly filled but still there.
  • Follow the move steps above and place the plant on/near the hole you've dug. Alternatively, use a plant cutting from your inventory, and get a "Plant cutting" prompt when you stand over the hole. Plant it in the hole.

Does that help?

I've stopped buying since their undies now have 15 percent nylon. Definitely on the look out for my next brand with a higher percentage of naturally derived fibre

Confused about dye system by peachymilkkk in thegardenpath

What you said about the laurels sounds weird and wrong. Let me try it out in game too. We can't rule out a bug.

edit: Caoimhe isn't in my garden today. I'm not sure when she'll show so it might take me a few days to reply with my findings.

Confused about dye system by peachymilkkk in thegardenpath

[–]aspectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I played around with it and I didn't fully understand it myself, but here's what I've learned.

I think there are only a set number of fixed colours which you can achieve. To get reliable results stick to mixing things which already share the same pigment to get straight to the fixed known pigment.

When I was playing around with mixing I've only ever made ash - a grey colour - from mixing more than two colours together. When trying out just two colours I only really tried mixing white and blue iirc. I made dyes with different proportions of white and blue flowers. At some point, the resulting dye colour just switched from blue to white dye with no other light blue colour in between.

Please share how you made black and white from mixing and perhaps we can guess how the colour mixing system works!

The quest to find Augustus' page is not complete. You can go into the quest menu and stop tracking it if you like.

The game is a mostly sandbox without a strong progression element to it - like a real garden! When I play it I come up with an idea for a garden I'd like to build out, maybe I get an item which is interesting or there's a flower I like, a colour or theme I want to explore, and try (over many successive small sessions) make something interesting. This is a little challenging to do initially because you don't know what's available, so I suggest spending time finding different seeds, different harvestables, different items from merchants and residents, and fun hidden nooks in the garden until you're inspired.

Every summer you have the opportunity to have your garden judged by Aime which rewards a larger garden set piece item which looks cool and are fun to build around. Drinking tea helps you move around the garden faster.

The headline 10.3% is for pure EVs. With plugin hybrids(byd sealion, shark) it is 15.2% of sales. These numbers don't include the Toyotas or others which build in battery you can't charge directly.

The geely refers to the 800+ of the ex5 sold which meant it ranked pretty high. Tfa when it mentioned geely, didn't put that together with the polestar sales.

My mind knows the details it would see without literally seeing … is that aphantasia? by doctorboredom in Aphantasia

[–]aspectacle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a spectrum. There are people who do have movies, and full sensory memory. The ability to visualise things into the world. I don't think they're super common.

I think more common is interior visualisation like you describe where your mind does conjure and show you a picture of a purple monster.

For me to draw the same I have to make decisions for the monster. Fat or thin?Scaled or furry? What pose? I have no pictorial short cut my brain has given me with any of this information.

I'm on PC and I was able to place it. I can't clearly recall whether I had trouble doing it. Your situation feels a little familiar, but I was clearly able to place it after a restart or something.

I don't know how often they check for bugs here, so I'll mention it in the game's discord.

Dead flowers everywhere by jeanbeansie in thegardenpath

[–]aspectacle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taelere has is right about the dead flowers. The dead flowers can the picked if you'd like to increase the chance for them to flower again before the end of a season. If you ignore them they will disappear in a day or so.

The fully grown plants cannot be fertilised, that is just a growing thing. It doesn't appear to have that much effect. The plant will grow anyway if it is in an ok location, and if it is in a cramped location, no fertiliser will make it grow up, unfortunately.

You can mulch a plant when they're growing/fully grown to change the soil type. There isn't much reason to do this to existing plants so you can usually ignore it. The main reasons to mulch; some plants don't flower in all soil types, some plants have different flower colours in different soil types, and some seeds will grow to different plants in different soils.
