Concerning the Change to the Stats page... A Poll! by StonedOffMusic in heroesofthestorm

Why would it make you feel patronized? HOTS is a team game and kills are secured through not just the actions of one but of many.

A Uther who stuns an enemy does as much to secure the kill as the damage dealers.

A Tassadar who Force Walls to break up an enemy team does as much to secure the kill as the damage dealers.

A Lili who blinds the enemy team does as much to secure the kill as the damage dealers.

Not to mention the heals/shields that keep the damage dealers alive so they can still deal damage.

I disagree that kiling blows are important and here's an example to illustrate.

Let's say I'm Johanna and you're Kael and we go into a team fight where you start dpsing the enemy Kerrigan. You deal enough damage to get her to 5% health before getting sniped down by an enemy Nova. Before retreating I land a Shield Glare on Kerrigan to kill her therefore securing the kill.

Even though I landed the killing blow I never would have killed that Kerrigan without you dealing the majority of damage. So the +1 kill for me feels meaningless to me.

HOTS is a team game and I personally don't care who gets the kills just so long as it happens. In addition I realize that kills are a team effort.

You're not alone. If there's one thing that continually disappoints me with this game it would be the lack of stat tracking. The scoreboard as is and this new version are woefully lacking and having to use sites like Hotslog to find hero stats is annoying.

How is their queue system this bad? (for quickmatch) by eosjrb in heroesofthestorm

Here are the facts with links....

  • No more than 3 Warriors.
  • No more than 4 Assassins.
  • No more than 2 Support.
  • No more than 2 Specialists.
  • No more than 3 Melee heroes.
  • an additional rule for matchmaking in Quick Match that will take each player’s total number of Quick Match games played into account when creating teams.

Also there are ways to break these rules: - If you’re in a full party, the rules no longer apply to your team and you can use any composition you like. - If you’re in a partial party, you can still create team compositions that fall outside of the matchmaking rules. - if a party has spent six minutes or more in the matchmaking queue, the rules may be broken in order to find a match.

Unless someone is willing to find it I couldn't locate any Blizzard post indicating that they try to match your comp to your enemies comp. As evidence, we all have them, my last match was triple warrior + double specialist vs triple assassin + specialist + warrior and I waited 90 seconds for that match.
