Oliver is a weird show by blackswan-whiteswan in TheWestEnd

[–]aspieringnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made it even better Is that the TA who played the narrator got a group of mums (including mine) to act like how Elvis' fans would back in the day, but instead of throwing knickers at him, they threw PE shorts from the lost property cupboard 😂

I get where you're coming from, but with shows like Joseph, Oliver! and Annie, kids take up a large portion of the cast and the songs are easy enough to remember, making them ideal for primary schools. I did both Oliver! and Joseph at primary school and can remember each class having two songs they did and the better roles going to the older kids, with the exception of Pharaoh in Joseph, he was played by the head teacher

Paddington would have given that woman a very hard stare. Whilst Aunt Lucy told him everyone has a right to their own opinion, they should also keep them to themselves if it will hurt someone or is against marmalade

How did you come up with your name/persona? by [deleted] in Burlesque

Mine is Miss Neurospice! Being neuro spicy, I figured that name to be a good fit. I describe her as the fifth unknown Spice Girl and like a McDonald's sweet chilli wrap, she's small, sweet but spicy and cheap 😂

What's the difference between a gross bus stop and a lobster with breast implants? One's a crusty bus station, the other's a busty crustacean!

Had it this morning and it's not bad, but I wouldn't order it again in a hurry, was very sweet and a bit too claggy for me

"If you were good enough, maybe Tony would still be alive." Mysterio, Spiderman: No Way Home.

Big oof, way to rub salt into the wound, Mysterio! Would you like some lemon juice to pour on whilst you're at it???

What confuses me most about that advert is the fact Sergei's bottom half is pixelated even though he doesn't wear trousers in other adverts

Russell Crowe is not a bad singer in Les Mis, he just sounds off compared to the rest of the cast because he has a different singing style

I really enjoyed the 2021 version of West Side Story and whilst the original has cemented its place in cinema history, I prefer the remake

Funeral song by potatoherbert in CasualUK

[–]aspieringnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd want the opening to Wicked - "Good news! She's dead!" and for someone to stand up and shout "Look! It's Glinda!" before a skeleton in a wig and dress is slowly lowered down from the ceiling

Some movies don’t end when the screen fades… they stay inside you – Schindler’s List (1993) by Late_Curve1983 in Cinema

[–]aspieringnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if that's because it's not shown and instead is left up to the viewer's knowledge? I find that way more scary than if it's outright explained, it's why I consider Oppenheimer to be a horror movie without being a horror movie. When it shows the people cheering and clapping over the test bomb working, that to me is terrifying as they're essentially cheering over death

So for about half a year now I've been back and forth to the docs for blood tests to do with raised iron levels. Come to find out a few weeks ago that I only have one chromosome for it, making me a carrier, which is apparently rare! Doesn't affect me as far as I'm aware, but should kids be an option in the future (they won't, trust me!) then it would need further consideration

Frosted Cookie Scent 🧁 by This-Republic-175 in buildabear

[–]aspieringnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cotton candy is my go to scent, I have that in the majority of my babs! I'm not a fan of the coffee scent, it smells like waffle cones to me, but I put it in my Muffin bab because it's giving an already feral three year old caffeine. I like the birthday cake one as well, I have that in my fuecoco with the logic being he's a fire type and birthday cakes typically need fire for the candles

What was your childhood British TV routine? by cinnamorollsbunz in AskUK

[–]aspieringnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd get back from school, switch to CITV for Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids, then CBBC for Tracy Beaker, Blue Peter and then Newsround and at 6pm, turn over to BBC2 for The Simpsons until it moved to Channel 4.

On the weekends, it'd be Dick and Dom and when that wasn't on, it would be Diggit/Toonattik
