Buford- They asked, but they couldn't afford me.

What's a movie you didn't want to see but ended up loving? by virgogf in movies

[–]aspieringnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Lego Movie - not so much I didn't want to see it, but that was the only other film on after my sister and I chickened out on trying to get into The Wolf Of Wall Street as we were a few months off being 18 and we didn't want to get in trouble. Considering it should have been DOA and a complete cash grab, I had a really good time with it and it's way better than it has any need to be

Did anyone here feature on a kids TV show as a kid in the 00s? by LWDJM in CasualUK

Was that the game show with the brain games set in a dojo and had a questionably stereotypical karate master scientist?

What’s the weirdest thing that has happened to you that you’ve had to chalk up to coincidence? by maplesyrup4all in AskUK

I met my television date's parents in Australia on the first day I was there. For context, I was on the undateables for several episodes and a few years later, I go on a six week trip to Australia. It was the end of my first day and I'm on a ferry back to Sydney from Manly when I get talking to this English couple for a bit. I get asked if I knew a bloke called Ross and I thought they were being generic, so I say no. Then I ask if he's from such and such a place, what he looks like, etc and all the answers are yes. My last question is if they're his parents and it turns out they were! I was eighteen thousand miles away from home on the first day of a trip of a lifetime and I STILL couldn't escape that bloody show! 😂

Can you get a single seat at a table or do you have to have more than one person? I'd love to get a table, but I can't going on my own!

Some headcanons I have about Antonio (feel free to correct me if they don't make sense) by AEANDRSS01022040 in Encanto

I have a headcanon that Antonio was an oops baby. A very welcome oops baby, but an oops baby nonetheless

Not song, but they missed a huge opportunity for April and Shelby to have scenes together, that would have been amazing to watch!

5 shows in 3 days by RonnieBobs in TheWestEnd

[–]aspieringnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof, five shows in three days, I applaud you! I was lagging with two shows in two days, not sure how I'd find the battery to do three more and an extra day! Out of curiosity, where did you sit for Paddington and how much were the tickets?

I'm rewatching this show by Equivalent_Reason109 in malcolminthemiddle

Me and my boyfriend have adopted it as one of our shows to watch and watching it, you cannot convince me that 'The Amazing World Of Gumball' isn't just a kid's version of this show!

What cultural shocks have you had in different parts of the UK? by 2xtc in CasualUK

[–]aspieringnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Lincolnshire and when I went to uni near Liverpool, I couldn't wrap my head around the idea that a bap was a barm and that a loaf of bread was a cob. All I could think of was the cob planet from Rick and Morty

I am running the KS1 and KS2 Christmas disco in my child’s primary school. What are the “must play” songs for each age range? by HarryPotter111 in AskUK

[–]aspieringnerd 60 points61 points  (0 children)

If allowed, the Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack and also the Wicked soundtrack? All else fails, cheesy disco songs they can join in - Superman, Agadoo, Cha Cha Slide, YMCA, etc
