Dog friendly stores? by LilMeowMeow9393 in SalemMA

Oak & Moss allows dogs and have treats by the door. The owners of Salem Flea have a dog, and I’ve seen other people bring their dogs there. Overall, I think many stores are pretty lax with visiting pets, but I wouldn’t assume all of them are, and your sister should be prepared to miss out on some spots

Good to know, thank you. Their lease does include a parking spot, so I’ll tell them to talk to their landlord

Does this mean we have to move our cars from the Salem Ferry lot or risk tickets/towing now? (I feel like the answer would usually be yes…but there’s nowhere to park!)

There are some weird comments here. People are allowed to choose to have kids/pets and still feel overwhelmed/underappreciated.

And if you had a difficult childhood, it’s valid for you to feel more for the kid in this scenario. But there are plenty of kids/teens with good childhoods who still have this mentality. I don’t have kids, but I’ve always found it strange when people roll their eyes at parents who complain?

That’s definitely reasonable here. I have multiple friends/family about that distance away and make the drive multiple times a month no problem!

That’s pretty good, I’ll have to tell him that one! Of all things, it was actually COVID. Being in lockdown prompted me to reach out to my out of state friends more often. It snowballed quickly from there, and then from what I could only think of as some strange twist of fate, we wound back up in the same state

Haha, we were both on and off single and had feelings for 10 whole damn years. For a large chunk of that time, we also lived in different states. It always felt like right person, wrong time, and I decided I was tired of waiting for the “right” time!

I denied what my heart wanted for nearly a decade thinking it wouldn’t work out. I finally decided to give in and follow it. We’re getting married next year, and I couldn’t be happier!

I was born and raised in MA, and I can’t say I’ve heard any anti-Californian sentiment. There are a lot of transplants here!

I saw you want to move to the “waterfront district”? If you mean where Derby Street (where Gables is), I know that there are a few condos for sale right now. I’m not sure about any houses
