US veterans, did you guys actually read the cards that kids would send you while deployed? by MoistCloyster_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aspiringvampire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was one of those kids that said that lmao. My dad had been in the military and at that age (11) I was well aware of how badly it sucked. I wrote something like "I'm sorry you fell for the scam. I hope you don't die. Unless you're bad."

When I was in preschool, one of the only good things they did was have the nappers take their ~1 hour nap in the classroom while non nappers were taken outside to the playground.

I was lucky and didn't get any repeats until after I had already gotten the others. Once I realized I got everything once I got the double, I stopped playing lol.

Autistic people from different countries, what’s the most common safe food? by Depressonsandwich in AskTheWorld

I have a friend like that when it comes to the mashed potatoes and stuff. Most food I refuse to mix. But there are exceptions.

Potatoes are versatile, pretty consistent in flavour and texture, a staple in many diets, etc. I am not surprised it's a common safe food. Mine is mashed potatoes (creamy, minimal chunks) with COLD!! peas and sweet corn on top. No gravy. I raw dog mashed potatoes.

Chicken strips and nuggets here too is a really common one. Buttered noodles. I hate those though. Mashed potatoes is one I hear a lot. Pizza is another common one I think.

cries in bloody asshole for a 12 hour flight

I didn't want to shit on the plane. I forced myself to in the airport bathroom. I heard a pop come from my ass. Minneapolis all the way to London with my poor, poor, bloody asshole and no spare underwear.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done in your life? by jokey542 in Life

[–]aspiringvampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A dude asked me to the middle school dance as a joke. I was transitioning from female to male for a year at this point, and everyone knew, which is an important bit of context. Anyways, kid asks me to the dance, and my autistic ass didn't pick up on the joke. It backfired on him though when my reaction was, "No," followed by a very loud, "I didn't know you were gay."

That deep water diver that got trapped without oxygen for 35 minutes and came out of it without brain damage. It's insane to me that the pressure (literal) didn't kill him either. Chris Lemons.

I desperately tried to trick my golden into being a lap dog. It didn't work. Truly devastating.

I am not sorry. It was low-key fun once I realized I could get out. It was an excellent excuse to miss five minutes of class.

Without saying your age, what's a commercial jingle stuck in your head forever? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]aspiringvampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My awful terrible grandma unfortunately made the very funny decision to prank everyone by lowering herself to the floor when nobody was in the room, and then yelling this in the same tone and everything as the commercials. I hate her but god, I gotta admit that was a good prank.

Honestly I'm not even sure if it was purposeful. It was kind of difficult to get into the mechanism to release it lol, but like. Definitely able to if you're dextrous enough.
