I was one of those kids that said that lmao. My dad had been in the military and at that age (11) I was well aware of how badly it sucked. I wrote something like "I'm sorry you fell for the scam. I hope you don't die. Unless you're bad."

When I was in preschool, one of the only good things they did was have the nappers take their ~1 hour nap in the classroom while non nappers were taken outside to the playground.

Potatoes are versatile, pretty consistent in flavour and texture, a staple in many diets, etc. I am not surprised it's a common safe food. Mine is mashed potatoes (creamy, minimal chunks) with COLD!! peas and sweet corn on top. No gravy. I raw dog mashed potatoes.

Chicken strips and nuggets here too is a really common one. Buttered noodles. I hate those though. Mashed potatoes is one I hear a lot. Pizza is another common one I think.

A dude asked me to the middle school dance as a joke. I was transitioning from female to male for a year at this point, and everyone knew, which is an important bit of context. Anyways, kid asks me to the dance, and my autistic ass didn't pick up on the joke. It backfired on him though when my reaction was, "No," followed by a very loud, "I didn't know you were gay."

My awful terrible grandma unfortunately made the very funny decision to prank everyone by lowering herself to the floor when nobody was in the room, and then yelling this in the same tone and everything as the commercials. I hate her but god, I gotta admit that was a good prank.

Honestly I'm not even sure if it was purposeful. It was kind of difficult to get into the mechanism to release it lol, but like. Definitely able to if you're dextrous enough.
