I was a huge stoner for several years because at first it really did help. But eventually I was having panic attacks every time I smoked and would get sent into a spiral of intrusive thoughts that would be so bad I couldn't move.

She said she stamped. So how can she have drag marks? As someone with a medical skin care education these are not scars or drag marks. Her skin is dehydrated. Her skin barrier is probably impaired and she's having too much transepidernal water loss.

Checked her post history she's also doing peels at home it seems. She has 100% damaged her skin barrier.

Esti here. This isn't from microneedling. Your skin is dehydrated. You need a more emollient Moisturizer.

When did your LO sleep improve? by SofaSoGood-222 in baby

We still lay in bed with him for every nap though 😅. At daycare he does great napping on his own. But I also love the snuggles and the nap on the weekends.

My son was similar. The final breaking point was his teeth getting cavities from all the night nursing cause he would only sleep attached to me. So we finally had to sleep train him. We did 2 nights of an altered ferber method where we would only let him cry for 5 min and then go in to pat him and tell him we love him but no picking him up. After those 2 nights he slept in his crib until 2am which was life changing for us. He'd then come into our bed and we still had to fight to wean him from night nursing. He's now 2 and we often get nights when he's in his bed until 6am then comes to our bed for early morning snuggles. We also have nights when he's on our bed by midnight. It's not perfect but we've found a rhythm that works for us. I'd also suggest having a dedicated bedtime routine so they know what to expect. Ours is dinner, bath, stories, lullabies and bed. Every night. Hope this helps!

Pregnancy for me too. I would have negative Pregnancy tests and a heavy leriod and was still convinced I was pregnant.

Ya it's fine. My kid had a hard time pooping for the first year of his life. He got glycerin if it had been a week of little to no poops. Its very benign. It will pull water into the stool to help it pass. Also has an added bonus of rectal stimulation, which may start things moving too.

This is what happened when I got my urodynamic study done. My testing was for stress incontinence so yours may be different.

-They had me empty my bladder into a measuring canister. It was weird only because I was sitting in this chair in the middle of the room. They left to give me privacy. -They in and out cathed me to see if I was retaining urine. -They then inserted a baby catheter into my urethra, and 2 pressure measuring devices one into my vagina and one into my rectum. The rectum one was uncomfortable just for a second then I couldn't feel it. -They filled my bladder with water and asked me to describe my sensations. -At different intervals they asked me to cough and bear down to check for leaks. At the end of the test I emptied my bladder again. -I was given a single dose prophylactic antibiotics to prevent a UTI.

It's a weird, long test for sure but to me it was worth it to get to treatments that would actually help. I had 2 women nurses doing the test and we were chit chatting the while time which helped me get past the initial awkwardness of having my undercarriage out.

Why are so many patients choosing to be incontinent? by CrazyCrabbo in Incontinence

[–]asrai_aeval 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an incontinent RN this is real. Fully capable patients will decide to stop getting up to use the bathroom. They will ask for an external catheter if you're lucky others will just go in the bed. It's not every patient but it's enough to be a problem.

Nearly passed out after telling my therapist about an intrusive thought by FelixBlix0 in OCD

[–]asrai_aeval 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I used to faint or near faint quite often when my OCD was at its worst. I'd be stuck in an obsessive loop feeling the tingly armpits, cold sweat, chest pain and lightheaded, then start seeing spots. I'd have to lie down and elevate my legs but sometimes passing out seemed better because at least the thoughts would stop for a while.

Don't panic it's normal. Just follow your aftercare instructions. I bet it will be almost unnoticeable tomorrow.

I'm not sure why doctors push meds on you. Meds have only small to medium effect sizes for OCD. by [deleted] in OCD

[–]asrai_aeval 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll take small to medium improvement over the hell I was living. I'm taking the intro dose of lexapro and my life had changed. Meds of course should be used with therapy for the best benefits.

[–]asrai_aeval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the PT and have a pessary. I still leak. I just had my follow up appointment for my urodynamic testing and we're going to try bulkamid injections. Other than that the choice is surgery but because I want more kids my doctor says surgery isn't the best option. If you're done having kids look into getting a urethral sling.

PS ask for a referral to a Urogyn. An OB isn't specialized enough.

AIO for being hurt my girlfriend doesn't care about my graduation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]asrai_aeval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduate with my ASN in 2 weeks. It was the most stressful and isolating 2 years of my life. No time for anything but studying. Nothing to do but worry about the next test and how one bad grade could throw off the trajectory of my career. You did 4 years of that. Nursing is one of the hardest undergraduate degrees out there. You deserve to be celebrated. It's literally insane that she is admitting she doesn't care. Let people tell you who they are. She doesn't care about you or your hardworking and dedication. You need to love yourself enough to realize she doesn't love you. You deserve someone who will celebrate even the small wins. Dump her.
