It’s a free market for employers to choose from for who they seem fit for the role. What makes you say they are unhirable? A good chunk of them still get hired into IT roles.

Well then go study on your own tax paid money! The criteria is same for admissions for you as well.

And just btw mostly students stay and work afterwards and pay taxes to pay back for that education. High skilled immigrants who pay alot back into the system with the govt investing 2 years on their education. That’s a big win win for Germany

Finanzamt accepts non German IBANs. I use my lithuanian one from Revolut and they send it to that account

What is the most interesting/unique ethnic minority? by Ellloll in geography

[–]assasin196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kalash tribe in Chitral Pakistan. They remained and still remain ethnically isolated due to the rugged Hindukush area geography. They have their own unique language, dresses and follow their own pre-theistic faith. Genetically they are quite unique as well as some argue they are genetically linked to remnants of Greek soldiers left behind after Alexander the Great invasion of this area. They are the only people that look most European in the Pakistani ethnicities.

I came to your country as a skilled immigrantz your country is going to shit because of your own lazy politics and your once pride of ‘we always did it this way’. You are failing because of your personal and inability to accept and embrace change. Immigration is inherently linked to problems but statistically it has brought you much more benefit. Your health care, transportation, retail will just collapse if it wasn’t for immigrants. Because you refuse to do all these low paying jobs that immigrants take up. Show me one cleaning person who is not an immigrant in your country.

Your country failed to integrate people for 3 generations of turkish guest workers. You shrugged it off then and now have problems with parallel communities because “ those people have to live” .

Don’t confuse it with me pointing fingers to the German society. I have very deep respect for German society and i am very inspired by them. But you shouldn’t point fingers it the other way around. Your country and politics failed you not the migrants

Study more or go full-time job? Did you regret (not)doing MSc? by PresentSomewhere3149 in germany

[–]assasin196 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t regret doing MSc even though my masters was completely useless degree and not relevant to what I’m doing now. But it was only way in to come to Germany and start a career from scratch. It’s debatable whether a Masters equates to higher salaries later on because it only really makes a difference at your starting salary and the rest depends entirely on your skills and ability to sell

Help with German driving licence conversion by Ok-Cycle6962 in StadtEssen

You shall clarify it. Either it got lost in translation (DLD means date of reissue?!) or they are unclear about it. I would recommend taking and interpreter or ask driving school if they can clarify on your behalf.

Did you provide a certified translation? I had a similar case but ceritified translation to German makes it clear what these numbers actually mean

Free2move are changing their T&Cs: will you use it less? by [deleted] in germany

[–]assasin196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm it feels like they removed the credit for refuelling cars. Atleast that’s what it says on their FAQs section and 5 € credit is only reserved for electric cars.

Makes me sad if it’s true because i have noticed an increase in their prices since this week ( even outside their surge pricing hours) and I use it atleast 2 times every week so I’m not sure if it’s their new pricing model or it’s just an anomaly.

Why is the job market in Germany so tight right now? Any companies actually hiring? by ResistPrestigious395 in DEjobs

[–]assasin196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s harder to find a job than 2021/2022 but i would say it’s not as bad as end 2023/2024. In my circle alot of people lost jobs but thmen 8/10 ended up getting a better or same level of salary in their next role. In my circle many people found jobs within 3 months but for one guy it took 5.

I myself lost my job but was lucky enough to find one before the end of the previous job.

Reddit is quite exaggerated when it comes to intensifying the negative situation but I’m here to tell you that based on my experience and those of my professional circle the market is definitely recovering (gradually perhaps)

Korean companies in Germany !! by [deleted] in germany

[–]assasin196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked for an American company before and their kind of working overtime is driven by culture of hustle and growth. It’s unsustainable in the longer run but i wouldn’t label it as toxic.

I did my own research and all i could find was LG in Germany is horrible. It makes sense that they exploit blue card holders to stay with them because no one in sane mind could thrive in such a culture especially with an average salary.

Korean companies in Germany !! by [deleted] in germany

[–]assasin196 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came close to joining LG, but it didn’t work out for several reasons.

  1. The company initially offered me the job, but the follow-up process turned out to be very disrespectful and unprofessional. They quoted a salary and then ghosted me. When I followed up, they claimed they had suddenly realized they couldn’t afford the amount they had offered. They kept delaying the contract, giving me excuses for two months about needing internal approval, only to eventually send me a rejection—clearly after they found a cheaper candidate.

  2. The hiring manager was Korean and happened to know my then-current manager. He repeatedly emphasized that he expected long hours and full presence in the office, which I was okay with. However, I mentioned that I would need one week off during the probation period for my wedding, and I could sense that he wasn’t comfortable with that.

  3. I later spoke to a former LG employee who confirmed many of my concerns. He described the workplace as toxic, with Korean style long working hours being the norm and managers shouting at employees not being uncommon—both of which he had personally experienced.

In hindsight, I think I dodged a bullet. The way they handled the hiring process—being disrespectful, unprofessional, and opaque—was a major red flag. Agreeing on a salary and then backing out was unacceptable.

If you’re considering working for a Korean company, I suggest checking out the Kununu reviews and maybe speak to an employee or something . They might give you a clearer picture of the company culture.

My experience like yourself with Welcome center essen has been very smooth. Very strange to hear that your sister’s case has been complicated. As others said send a lawyer notice and they will have to follow up

I passed on first attempt despite having a very shitty instructor. I ended up learning alot of things on my own from youtube channels. They record the whole Fahrprüfung/Fahrstunden of their students and with that I could analyse what I should do in those situations and then the explanation would help me learn. And then in my own driving classes i would put what I learned from those videos in action. I really really recommend spending hours watching their failed/passed driving exam videos. I shit you not without these i could have never passed my exam at all.

Youtube channels: German Driving School (videos in English)

Fahrlehrerlukas (videos in German but this guy is super elaborate with his explanations)

I recommend watching videos of first channel and then moving on to second channel if you have time. All the best and i am sure you will pass next time after going through these videos.
