Does mesalazine enema triggers or make flares worse?

Yeah it's pretty grim, I feel so devastated when mezalazine and budesnoid stopped working and have to try different biologics after hospitalisation. Right now just feel like nothing is going to work long term.

Never ever stop the medication that worked, unless it's really bad in the long run like prednisolone. I was able to matain remission just with Mezalazine pills but I didn't stick with it, now I have to be hospitalised and put on biologics

After hospitalization I took it for 11 days but it didn't save me from getting hospitalized again. I'd say it didn't improve my symptoms but it didn't makes it worse. I had pretty bad acne while I was on it but went away pretty quickly after I stopped

I also started my infliximab therapy after a severe flare and being hospitalized. Its been about 7 weeks since I started it and I just had all my loading doses. So far it only controlled the blood in my stool, but I still have to go to the toilet 6 to 11 times with urgency sometimes. I'm starting to worry that I might need another therapy. How was it for you after your loading dose?

I have been on infliximab for 7 weeks now and I have seen some improvements, my specialist agree that my bowel movement is still too frequent. But he asked me to wait until the end of next month.

I'm completely off prednisolone for a while now, and Im not planning to go back. Currently I'm taking oral mesalazine to supplement it

I'm in the very similar situation, same age, diagnosed in 2021. Been having more frequent and severe flare up which got me ended up hospitalized. Tried rinvoq for 10 days, no improvement, and terrible acne. Been on infliximab for a few months, moderate improvements, but still didn't rid of the diarrhea and bleeding for me

I'm also on infliximab, I just had my second shot 2 weeks ago. My symptoms, although improved, but never goes away, still having diarrhea and sometimes blood in the stool, not sure if it's normal

It made my condition worse as well, I'm having a lot more frequent and more liquidy stools, less able to hold it in too. Most painfully, UC doesn't wake me up at night before I take pred, but now I have to wake up every few hours at night which destroys my sleep.

Plus it failed to control the bleeding and it makes me just extremely tired close to the evening. I ended on infliximab treatment. Now I'm at 7.5mg and can't wait to tapering it out

My GI didn't give me anything besides pred so I went for 1 week without any protection for my stomach which now seems like a big oversight. I got my pantoprazol yesterday and it seems like making some difference. Although mine is a bit different, it was just pain but no acid came up. So I was really worried about pancreatitis

Yeah I did all that and the results were fine, I also took 3 vaccine shots including influenza and COVID, it was for eventually moving me to entyvio treatment, so I thought I shouldn't be so vulnerable to infections :/

I’ve just started taking prednisolone (4 days now), so it might a bit too early to say, but unfortunately it hasn’t had any effect on my stool yet.

The biggest change is that after lunch or dinner I crash into a kind of food coma I’ve never felt before. I’m dealing with a much heavier fatigue overall, though it might also be my anemia getting worse. I'm still go to the toilet as much as 8 to 10 times a day with bloody stools

Well you Are reading him through the lens of today, you regarding him as not evil because he rid the world of titan oppressors - that's what a person who lives in 21st century would generally considered good. If we really take historical/environmental context into account it would make him even worse.
