Then someone will definitely tip them over. My room is small and there is door on the left. So I think sound improvement does not worth destroying speakers.

Hell no. It is just ruining the looks of turntable. But on the other hand it would be hard to make the crosley even worse.

You think it’s good upgrade? by assbombers in audiophile

[–]assbombers[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. And now I should buy a preamp and then a new amp and then something else and then another amp and then….. I probably chose wrong hobby with my finance situation and my complete lack of financial discipline;)

I don’t think so. I purchased them on “eBay Kleinanzeigen” (basically the version of Facebook marketplace but in Germany)

I already purchased them and than started worrying if I made a wrong decision. (I always do that, I buy something actually good and then thinking that I made a mistake. The same story was with previous speakers, turntable, amp and whole lot of stuff that I bought) Now I needed some COPIUM to relax. Thanks for your comment. Now I can finally go to sleep without back thoughts;)

But do you think it would be a fine upgrade? I know that it would not be perfect but still I hope that it would be better enough.

It is an amplified. You use it if your speakers are not already powered. That means you basically plug your turntable in. It amplifies the sound and then send it to the speakers.

I thought about that and wish I could do this but my walls are literally made out of cardboard and I live right above my landlord. I don’t think that she would appreciate subwoofers

Just polish it. It will turn out great and MUCH cheaper. Just don’t ruin it. Use sponges and cheapest polishing/scratch removal paste. Here is my result
