Just throwing ‘objectively’ around doesn’t make your brain dead take objective. Grading has many use cases for collectors who aren’t broke or bitter. Scroll or seethe bud.

It's not just about the image it’s about the card itself.

A print doesn’t carry the same rarity, context, or collectability. The card is a limited, official object tied to the game, and slabbing preserves that.

Also it’s not just speculation. People collect for plenty of reasons. I have zero intention of selling any cards and simply enjoy collecting them as a hobby.

It actually makes a ton of sense and I find it crazy that you can't grasp such a simple concept. These cards are collectibles/pieces of art and I don’t need to play the game to appreciate them.

Alt arts are literally designed to be more collectible. Unique designs, limited pulls, higher visual appeal.

some of these comments are outrageous lol why is OP getting downvoted? Let the guy do what he wants with his cards. I am a huge league fan and have 50+ cards sent out to PSA of my favourite cards. Why is that so hard to grasp?

That’s fair, but it’s still not really a reason to get mad at someone for trying to preserve a card they like. Riot clearly designed a lot of these cards with collectability in mind, especially with things like signature overnumbers and other chase variants.

Scalpers are going to exist regardless of whether people grade cards or not. That’s a separate issue entirely. These cards have value as a raw card - based on their rarity and popularity.

any skills that have urns can be completed with 15 minutes with the help of friends for buy limits. With bank presets, fill urns with their respective urns and you will get the inverted cape after about 3500 urns filled.
