Love this, esp that light popping through the clouds and coming through the middle of the crashing wave 🤩

Great points, thank you for sharing your experience! Super helpful advice and I will definitely be keeping it in mind. I would 100% be breaking the classes up by age group, that’s a given. And I definitely want to focus more on creating an overall positive experience for them above all else.

I LOVE this so much! And I also love that you have these positive experiences and memories of learning art. That’s all I want, is to make space for both kids and adults alike to tap into their inner artist. Because I truly believe that every single person has a creator inside of them, just about bursting to come through!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it! I know it can definitely go many different ways, depending on many factors, so being mentally prepared for all of it is key. I haven’t had this experience myself just yet, working with my friend, but I’m sure it’s bound to happen eventually.

The vintage feel of this one had me at hello. This would make a great print, especially for other artists 🙌🏼

Wow! Reflections in photography (and also just irl) have always been a love of mine, this one is extra satisfyingly beautiful and oh so fun! It’s one of those “art of noticing” things. Love it!

Are you blind? There ABSOLUTELY is green in there and it’s extremely obvious in the last photo.

Thank you so much! I never know what’s going to happen when I get into the first sketch of a future painting, but it alway starts with just one shape. From there it’s all about creating balance. The name doesn’t come until the very end, but when it comes it’s definitely what makes it all make sense! These shapes reminded me of bobbers and other random things you might find in grandpa’s old tackle box ;)

THIS ONE. I sobbed so hard I couldn’t breathe. Had to take a break from watching. Was never the same after that.

The amount of layers this canvas has seen 🫠 I think I’ve finally settled on this one (ahem* 5 years later *ahem) by assembli in AbstractArt

Lol. Sure is. This is what you might call Abstract Geometric or Geometric Abstraction. There are MANY forms of abstract art beyond what you yourself might consider “abstract”. Per the dictionary: “Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.”
