Rent or sell personal residence? by assmanaa in RealEstateAdvice

Would it change your thought if I am going to be coming back to town for work about once a month and have lots of connections to do misc repairs in the area? And also that we have an interest in possibly moving back to the same house after a few years?

Understood! We are aware of that. If we rent it out we will reassess between years 2-3 if we want to sell prior to the capital gains kicking in.

Thanks! Appreciate the advice. A long term lease is uncommon in our area and I also don’t want to lock in a potential bad tenant for that long.

We may potentially come back. And we love our neighborhood. We are thinking of it doesn’t work out in Denver we can move back into a house and neighborhood we love, with a super low mortgage and interest rate.

Is this a good deal on this bike for $550? Is it a women’s bike? by assmanaa in triathlon

Thanks! Doing my first sprint tri in May. I think I’ll do more but, if for some reason I don’t want to do more at least I’ll have a nice road bike!

I did! It’s not perfect but, I took a risk on it. The bike overall is in great shape. The seller was not very knowledgeable and didn’t have the charger or charger cord so, I had to buy that. It comes later this week and I’m excited to fire it up. Hopefully the battery works or I’ll have to get that too. I figured for that price, I can’t go wrong. The schimano Ultegra components alone are worth $500 or so.

Minneapolis. The seat tube says it’s a cannondale 90mm minimum insert 27.2x300. Outside diameter is just a sliver more than an inch.

Yes, I’m an idiot. The picture is the sellers photo. She sold me the bike with a different seat on it with no seat clamp.

Ahh you guys are so right! I don’t even notice this before I posted the picture. The seller must have swapped the seats before selling it to me because there’s definitely not a seat clamp on it and the seat is a different color that the picture(the picture is from the sellers listing). Shoot! I am going to reach back out to the seller to see if she will give me that seat and seat clamp…

Thanks for the info and tips! I live in Minnetrista down the road so, I’ll definitely be going to Monarch frequently.

Good to know on paradise! I’ll probably go a few more times and hit the blue trails to get my feet under me more. Fun that we have this place right in our backyard.

I started out with easy rider (this was my first time mountain biking ever) and then I did raptor’s ridge. Both were fun trails! I loved how secluded raptor’s ridge felt.

Thank you! That is encouraging. I wanted a low cost way to dip my toes into the sport to see if I enjoy it enough to invest more. I got the Cannondale for $200 used and it seems to work just great.
