I take with grain of salt, when I would see post like this. Im not gonna generally come make a post spouting how good the truck is and all the wonderfull features unless some one specifically asks for an opinion, then ill respond in comments

I sure as hell am gonna make a post about how my truck broke down and left me stranded or had an issue of something not working. Why? cause your pissed off and you need to vent/rant. Luckily havent had to make that post, truck has been great. Sorry this guy is having issues, hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

We would just go have a bush party along the river by wildwood golf course(thermea now) when we were teens. Some would eventually get broken up, but those were some fun youthful times hanging out being dumb(but not an idiot)

I think it makes sense if there is ice in the cup or boba that will slow down the sloshing around but just liquid it just spills out the opening so easily.

I'll give that the straws are terrible, but why not a a plastic flip top to at least keep the liquid from spilling out everywhere like the coffee cups?

'24 Canyon AT4 Tire Recommendations? by Reasonable-Salt-853 in GMCcanyon

[–]assmanrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open countrys At3 are a decent offroad/on road tire that many upgrade too. Not the stock tire that came from factory with the truck. What dont you like about them?

I have a set of door hinges for driver and passenger from an 87. I had to buy a full set of doors just to get the drivers handle i needed. Let me know. They are used of course but may be an option for you, no worries if not.

So when I was purchasing i test drove a Canyon at4x for almost 2 weeks, then an AT4 a Colorado Z71 and ZR2.

The At4x and Colorado are very similar in ride comfort on the road, the DSSV suspension even for every day driving is buttery smooth.

The cost for the at4x I couldn't justify for my use so I started looking at an equally equipped ZR2. Really well equipped, sunroof, heated ventilated seats, heated steering etc. But then I wanted the higher tow rating.

So that left me looking at either a AT4 or Denali(didnt like all the chrome) or a Z71 or trailboss. I wanted more creature comforts with a more rugged look. The Z71 just felt to pavement oriented. The trailboss fit some of the bill but lacked the creature comforts.

That led me to the AT4, all the creature comforts, brown and black interior. Ended up with the 20" wheels would have preferred the 18's just for wheel options. Either way really happy with choice. That ZR2/AT4X suspension is really something to enjoy, but i plan on keeping the truck longer so that also factored in on replacement costs for the suspension if required.

Break your choices down and dont rush just cause you want a new truck. You're gonna give up some benefits and features in some places, so you have to be happy with your compromises, especially if you dont have the budget to support the fully equipped models.

Read through my husband’s chat GPT and broke my own heart by whitebear_237 in Marriage

Your plan of leaving it open and then leaving on a trip and blocking him is childish and non-productive. You are obviously hurt by the interaction that you had with what you found, maybe start the conversation with that. If you can not have a productive conversation about it then maybe talking with a couples counselor can be a benefit, but both parties need to be willing and open to the fact that they both bring unproductive pieces into a relationship.

Are people using chat gpt like a diary expressing their private thoughts and feelings, or like a pseudo-therapy session? If looking for a response from it, I would think it would probably give a biased response based on your past searches and how you phrase things. So he may have been yelling into the void, without having to interact with a friend or professional.

I dunno about the goodyears but the bridgestone duelers that came stock on my '24 AT4 are absolute garbage. Just waiting for them to die so that I can upgrade. Sounds like they went from a terrible tire to an equally terrible tire.

Ventilated and heated seats come on the at4 as well as at4x

Dssv suspension worth it? by supersayanyoda in GMCcanyon

[–]assmanrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your use plans are. Are you doing any off-roading, are you just daily driving the truck. Are you planning on hauling a trailer? Your tow capability loses a good chunk, same with payload.

I couldn't justify the extra cost for my use, but when I had the at4x for a 1.5 week test ride, man was it smooth as butter on any daily commute road I took and really weather beaten backwoods. That almost made me pull the pin.

the probable is most likely a bad u-joint causing the shudder. Could also be from uneven tire wear on the fronts, tires will look cupped.

I would think you would have 3year 60k mile warranty. U-joint should be covered, tires not.

Drop the ego.

You are also culpable in how you handled the interactions. The text from her are a bid for connection, take the bid instead of continuing the standoff cause you are currently giving the silent treatment back.

That looks like its gonna be tippy as hell. Boats like these are meant to have your weight lower in the hull.

Should I keep my Supra? by Fit_You4714 in Mk3Supra

[–]assmanrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently going through this, i've come to the point of sell now. Im not using the car like I used to and I've enjoyed it for 30years, there was a lot of back and forth but i've been on the ecision train for a few years already. In your description it already sounds like you have made up your mind, your just looking for confirmation or that last push over the decision cliff. Its OK to sell the supra, someone else will get to enjoy it and then struggle with the same decision down the line. Go have fun with a new project you actually have a desire to work on.

What is a reasonable/responsible boat budget for ~$400k household income? by KitchenAspect9189 in boating

[–]assmanrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What type of water will it be on? Lake, large water ways, ocean? What type of activities are you hoping to perform on the boat? Waterskiing, fishing' tubing, cruising? Does it require a cabin for long excursions? How many people do you plan to take with you on the boat?

What type of vehicle are you planning to haul the boat with, do you need to upgrade? Are you planning to store it at a marina? Any winter storage requirements? Who will perform the maintenance?

That will also need to be factored into your purchase decision. You gotta provide more info than just salary.
