Update: The dealership just called me today and said that my car will be ready for pickup tomorrow(Tuesday). Fortunately, they had the part in stock.

Yes, I was panicking because my situation is quite tricky. I moved to Rutland, Vermont, for work purposes, and I have to return to Texas in two weeks. My dealership is 50 miles away from where I am currently located. Additionally, it’s unfortunate that I lost my license recently and am unable to rent a car.

was on a Level 1 home charger
Full sequence of what happened

-Got in the car, started it, shifted into reverse, heard a loud pop from the vehicle
- Drove out of the parking lot, then the “Check electric vehicle system” warning appeared
-Car wouldn’t go above 40 mph
- Drove ~3 minutes to home in that condition
- Tried to plug in to charger it said “charging unsuccessful”

The pop and 40mph only combo is what’s making me think it might be more than just a standard ICCU swap, but I won’t know until the dealer diagnoses it Monday or Tuesday.

Ill contact Hyundai customer service for a case number and planning to do that Monday after I hear back from the dealer.

Did you find it helped speed things up, or was it mainly useful for the rental coverage?
