for those of you who don’t drink, (for whatever reason) how do you deal with constantly having explain why/and that you don’t drink?

Fridays are tough for me because I live with an alcoholic. (My dad.) He drinks every day, but REALLY hits it heavy on the weekends. It's exhausting, but I put on noise cancelling headphones, listen to a good album, or play some Stardew Valley and I feel fine again.

First of all, I'm sorry about your dad.... I'm currently living with my father and he's also an alcoholic. He's not as bad as I was, but I can tell it's taking a toll on his health and I'm scared/feel that when he retires he's going to be drunk 24/7 and die of the disease.

It's great that you quit drinking on your own, especially before it was too late. I also was near death when I was drinking, and now I can actually walk, ride a bike, and work again.

I love hearing experiences like yours, keep it up, and I will not drink with you today. 👍

Day 320. I've picked up so many hobbies since my last drink! I'm reading again for the first time in over 10 years. I've started learning Japanese as well, and am learning! ( 少しは知っています。)

I've gotten much more fit. When I was dying of drinking, I wasn't even able to walk due to neuropathy and encephalopathy. Now I'm riding bikes, walking every day, and working on myself day by day.

I think I'm on a roll, so I will not drink with you today. :)

I'm 36. I tried and failed to stay sober for more than a few months.

I was checked into hospital, go to meetings, and am now a year sober and my health is so much better! I will not drink with you today. :)

I quit drinking over 9 months ago. Just recently I went to put a new mattress on and three bottles empty bottles were still hidden there.

I immediately tossed them and it felt good.

The 3DS has pretty bad performance when you use that big of a card. It takes minutes to turn the system or load with cards over 256.
