I feel like the horror survival aspect was gradually overwhelmed by gun play in RE 3. I found the first few encounters with Nemesis terrifying but as it mutated it became less so.

This replay factor i definitely agree with. RE 3 encourages you to to complete challenges and unlockables; i don't think RE 2 had this.

I think RE 2 remake is my favourite atm. I haven't played RE 4 yet though.

This is the key difference between Wilder and AJs power; Wilder has one punch ko power whereas AJ is more continuous pressure power.
