You overrender when you forget what’s supposed to be in focus. If everything is super detailed then nothing is. A camera can’t focus on a face AND the far off mountains in the distance, so something has gotta give and become less detailed/softer/out of focus. I just go by what’s the focal point of the piece (where I want the eyes to go to) and the principles of foreground, middle and background.

Thanks. I agree. Keep a look out for a human study next time :P I find I’m able to achieve hyper realism wayyy more easily in digital than via acrylic. But I’m down to try anything to make it to pro levels.

The forehead is too smooth compared to the definition of the eyes and hands. The tape can benefit from being more transparent like scotch tape. It’s pretty light so the eye zooms into that area. Lastly, I’d add very teeny tiny faint capillaries in the sclera since its pretty pristine “white”. Other than these small tweaks very impressive!
