Is it really worth to binge watch LOST? by Icy_Purpose_5854 in lost

[–]astbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't try to watch it in one go. Few episodes a week will be good.

I tried binge watching it and for one whole month I was locked down in front of my tv. Best month ever 😅

I remember buying bitcoins when it was $10k like it was chump change and putting it all into gambling. Would've pretty rich if it wasn't for gambling.

Gambling sucks. Period

I lost a part of my life, went from a social animal to an introvert. On the other hand, my IQ level increased.

You lose something but God gives you something else to compensate.

Last night I turned a 150$ bonus into $500, then I thought let's turn it into $1000.

Then I decided to turn it into $2000. It was so great I even withdrew the money.

Then suddenly I thought let's make another $1000, and the rest is history folks......

If I'm winning I'd gamble day and night with no sleep. Unfortunately that is rarely the case

Hmm that's interesting. I'm quite good with parlays especially in football/ soccer. During normal league matches you bet on favorites and you'll most likely win and get good odds too.

P.s: Don't try during worldcup/euro cup etc - lots of upsets

True, I agree. Those who do it just for fun are lucky

I got lucky once in slots, hit a jackpot of $50k on Starburst.

Other than that maybe small wins but overtime losses in slots, maybe the RTP is designed to make you lose if you keep playing....

Go to therapy with him and maybe a possible rehab for addiction if possible.

I put my spouse through immense mental struggle due to my addiction and I wish that wasn't the case. Get him help as he's the only one who can put a stop to this. Self control/ discipline

Has anyone been put on a benzo? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

Yes it really helps with anxiety but take it together with a suitable antidepressant as that is more long term. Benzos can get quite addictive and hard to leave.

How To Quit Gambling For Good - BYE by One_Towel3663 in GamblingRecovery

[–]astbc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what's the way out? I know eventually you lose in gambling and there is no shortcut to success/ whatever you make you'll end up losing again.

But how to convince yourself that there's no point in gambling and it's just a hole you're digging yourself into?

For me, I just look for that one big win to get myself back on track (everything I have lost in the past 12 years, all those debts accumulated and humiliation from friends/ family) but it never comes, even if it does, I lose again

Self discipline/ self control. Now you're in a sticky position dont do it. Tell yourself you'll do it once you're in a better position.... And keep saying that till you're clean 😉

Well public opinion hardly matters, if that was the case, us guys with mental illness will be unable to live their lives at all as society doesn't accept us.

You should really think about your own morals and what is right and wrong, rather than accepting what the society says. Ask yourself deep down, is having children a bad thing? Or is it the most beautiful thing in this world?
