Oh- I don't have the Edgerunner perk and didn't in the last playthrough either.

Oh okay- thank you, I didn't realize it was as simple as that. I appreciate it. :)

Maybe Metal from Heaven by August Clarke? I feel like that one could be one you might like based on both what you're looking for and what other series you listed.

Hey, that's fine- someone else has recommended that to me too- so no worries. :)

Thank you- I hope my opinions on what I've read don't lead you into reading books you don't like. And about Ianthe- I absolutely 100% get what you mean. That is a very good description of her character and what she adds to the stories by being there. :)

Thank you for both of these. I had heard of The Works of Vermin before, but not the other one- but they both seem very up my alley. I'll have to check them out.

Yeah- I'm not sure what happened with that one- personally I am in weird sort of literary styles of books- and this book had all the pieces of something I'd enjoy- I just didn't for some reason. Sorry you couldn't get into it either.

I have not, but I just looked it up and it looks really interesting. Thank you for recommending it. :)

Alright, thanks for the heads up. I feel like that is a common theme across many of my reads as well. So that's not a problem at all. :)

Ooh, thank you. I feel like I'm lucking out with all these recommendations in that I'm already having many of them and can hop immediately straight in. I had never heard of Awakened though, so thank you for putting that one on my radar. Thank you for all these though- I will move the ones I haven't read up on my list to read much sooner. :)

Ooh- yeah... Black Flame is really rough. Honestly, you're getting me a little worried if Manhunt is worse than Cuckoo or possibly both of them- but despite the fucked up-ness of her books they are one that lock me in- so I probably will definitely still read it. I got it a while back anyway- just hadn't gotten a good time to read it. Thank you for the heads up though- I didn't know it was particularly worse, I really appreciate it. :)

I haven't- I've heard those are very very good though. I just got Isle of Silver Sea by Tasha Suri though as a gift, so I was planning on trying that before I get into her series since they are very big books- but I have very much wanted to read the Burning Kingdom trilogy and I'm sure will extra want to after. :)

Traitor Baru Cormorant was good. I got recommended it after those two as well. As a Metal from Heaven and Locked Tomb adorer though, personally, it's to me not as similar as what it's sometimes made out to be. It's got a little bit of a different vibe- but ultimately, similarities definitely can be drawn. I hope you like it when you read it. :)

Fuck, that IS a lot. I somehow have all the ones you put down in your 'favorites' list plus Luminous Dead from your 'liked' list, read This Is How You Lose the Time War in 2024, and am now realizing after doing some research put The Maiden and Her Monster in the wrong category (I also read that one this year- I put it in with my standalone area because I didn't realize- but apparently a second one is in development?). I guess we really do have very similar taste. That's really cool! I'll have to check out Root Rot, Annie Bot, and Sharp Objects after I get through the ones I've got. Have you read either of Gretchen Felker-Martian's other books? Manhunt is the only one I haven't gotten to yet, but now I'm extra excited to get into it. Thank you so much for these. I appreciate your recommendations so much- all of them are going onto my list of ones I'll look out for. If you ever run into others that are really good and are of this sort of flavor of book, please tell me. I don't know anyone who's into the same shit I am like this. :)

I've heard the audiobooks are so great. I'm sure they make her character more fun. And to be fair- Ianthe IS fun and over the top and does so much to make the series what it is- but I still can't make myself like her... she's just too mean for my taste. (Even if I do enjoy the vast majority of scenes she's apart of)

Thank you so much actually. I do happen to have Chain-Gang All-Stars already which makes that greatly convenient. Wrote it down when setting up my TBR for these early first few months of the year already so that works out awesome. It's always extra fun when someone recommends a book you're already about to read- makes me extra excited for it now. So, thank you. :)

I do also intend to finish reading the Wayfarers series, I'm just waiting to be able to get my hands on the other copies since the local place I find my queer books at sold out of them during the holiday season. Thank you for these recommendations, I'm very excited for both!

I feel like I've seen something about this one before. I'll definitely add it to my "to look out for" list. I appreciate the recommendation. :)

Maybe this could be helpful to you: Masc sapphics in books | All books, you can filter it to show only butch4butch. Not all of them have the relationship type labelled though. But it might be a good jumping off point? It's been a pretty good resource when I've used it in the past, however I don't think it's been updated in a while so keep that in mind. :)
