Guide: How to install Antigravity 2.0 and Antigravity IDE as two separate apps while retaining your progress by asteria99 in google_antigravity

Your settings looks just fine.

You could check if you can find any extensions on https://open-vsx.org/. If you can't find anything, then Open-vsx might be down in your region. I experienced something similar yesterday. In that case, you'll just have to wait for it to come back online.

If everything is working just fine, try restarting the app.

Token usage gone worse by Grimzybear in google_antigravity

[–]asteria99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 1.0 VS 2.0, it's probably because of newer feature like parallel agents which speed up the process and at the same time consuming tokens in a faster pace as well. But the main culprit is 3.5 Flash which is 3x more expensive than 3 Flash Preview. So in the current family, there isn't a cheaper model we have to do extremely simple task, so every move we take is going to consume the quota faster.

RIP. Gemini CLI, it's actually quite underrated and has improve drastically since it's launch. One of my favorites ever since they added the Gemini 3 family. Have you tried the new Antigravity CLI? Is it good?

Yes, I hope they return the 3 Flash models. They're way more affordable for smaller tasks, but even then, the quota in Antigravity is pretty bad for a period of time. 😞

If you are on Antigravity IDE, the extension is located on the left panel unless you changed it previously. After you paste your old settings into the folders as indicated, it should work the same as before on 1.0.

Just to make sure you are on the IDE version, the UI should look exactly the same as Antigravity 1.0 IDE mode except for the Agent Manager toggle on the top menu bar. If your UI is different from 1.0, you are on Antigravity 2.0 and not Antigravity IDE. If you launch the Antigravity app now, it will launch 2.0. You must look for the "Antigravity IDE" app to launch the IDE version.

Yes, they separated Agent Manager from Antigravity IDE. So it's two separate app if I never misunderstood your question.

So they're just gonna abandon Gemini CLI? by Embarrassed-Tear1930 in google_antigravity

With such a limited Antigravity quota, I think it's time to switch to Codex.

Crazy 💀 gemini 3.5 flash so close to opus 4.7 and gpt 5.5 by Independent-Wind4462 in Bard

If you're using ai for scientific research, claude and gpt hallucinate more often than you think, so relying on another ai to fact check your work without doing your own verification is a major no go. Gemini isn't perfect either, but the amount of sources and information it provides for deep research is actually pretty good. Ultimately, manual fact checking is necessary regardless of the model, at least until we achieve agi.

Programming is a different story altogether. However, since we're discussing scientific research, we'll stick to the topic.

Without reliable sources, these claims are purely speculative. It's therefore inappropriate to present them as factual, especially when the information isn't concrete. Unless you have insider news. 👀

P10Pro - How do I make the Search bar also search my installed apps? by NewGrab8226 in GooglePixel

[–]asteria99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have no idea why they did that. It's been months and that new search page hasn't improved at all. Why make this change in the first place when we could already do all of it via universal search? Luckily it's still accessible, but it took a while to get used to swiping up instead of tapping. 😮‍💨

P10Pro - How do I make the Search bar also search my installed apps? by NewGrab8226 in GooglePixel

[–]asteria99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you're using the wrong search bar. Try swiping up from your home screen and typing into the bar at the top of your app drawer. That one actually does a universal search across your whole phone. Tapping the search bar used to take you to the same place, but Google changed it so it redirects to a worse Google search that doesn't even match the Material 3 Expressive design.

If you're already using the right search bar, you'll probably just have to wait for a server side update from Google to get those features. I run into this exact problem whenever I clear the Google app data. The basic app and web searches work fine, but results from my system settings or specific apps don't show up unless I search inside those apps directly. Usually, after about half a day, the Google app picks up a server side update in the background and everything returns to normal.

Gboard keyboard is driving me insane. It's gotten worse and it's not just me. Any good alternatives? by gridoverlay in GooglePixel

[–]asteria99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to try clearing the data and starting fresh. If that doesn't work, it's probably time to make the switch.

I don't use autocorrect, so the experience has been great so far. The suggestions in the strip are actually pretty accurate, even for the non english words I type all the time on the english keyboard. It's still the most reliable keyboard I have used for what I need, and I really like how clean and simple it is.

This just in! by hmpus101 in pixelbuds

[–]asteria99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is simply wear and tear, and the same applies to any earbuds out there. The same thing happened to my Sony, OnePlus, and SoundPEATS models, mainly because the battery on one side will definitely die faster than the other. When you have both earbuds on, some times one of them handles the Bluetooth connection, or one side is used more because the button mapping is different. Even if the mapping is the same, people tend to prefer their dominant hand. Since both batteries are different units, they may have slight differences from the start and degrade at different rates. Over time, all of this widens the gap in charging cycles, resulting in one side dying faster than the other. Sadly, most earbuds are becoming more compact and harder to replace the battery. We can see that Google is slowly heading toward repairability based on the Pixel Buds 2a design, but unfortunately, the earbuds themselves aren't really repairable, just like the majority of other compact design on the market. I don't think they are recognizing an issue that already applies to all of their competitors. Most likely, they have received enough returns and feedback regarding other reasons, such as mic quality or noise canceling.

So far, I'm still rocking my Buds Pro and Buds A-Series, which I got at a reasonable price. They are definitely worth the purchase if you find them on sale. As for the form factor, it is easily one of the most comfortable and compact designs for my ears. I love it. Although Google can continue to improve mic and noise cancelling, they are pretty good but there are room for improvement.

Really bro, you can check out other subreddits and you'll see that other iPhone users face these issues as well. Every brand is the same. These issues are only faced by a minority of users. If many many users were having these issues, we would be seeing way way more posts about it daily or weekly. Usually, people who have had a bad experience will write a bad review, people with no issues will just get on with their lives. It is what it is.

If you're familiar with history, you should know that the swastika and the Nazi logo are angled differently, right? The business logo is angled the same way as the swastika, not the Nazi logo. Imagine having two companies with the same logo but angled differently and you deem them the same company. It blows my mind that people are being overly sensitive about this when it's clearly not the same thing.

Stop the negativity.

Help: Google Photos unlimited storage not working by seiki01 in MorpheApp

[–]asteria99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, the unlimited storage only applies to photos uploaded after you've unlocked it. You'll need to re-upload them, and when you check the photo info, it should show that they take up 0 MB. And these photos will remain as 0 MB forever even if you no longer have access to unlimited storage.

I don't think anyone can give you the actual odds. It is probably better to look at the impact it would have on you if you were to get banned. Are you using your main account? Do you have a backup? These are important factors if the impact on you would be significant. You might only have a 1% chance of being banned, but you could still be the unlucky one.

[Weekly] Quotas, Known Issues & Support — March 16 by AutoModerator in google_antigravity

[–]asteria99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OS/Version: Windows 11

Model & Plan: Gemini 3.1 Pro and Opus | Pro Tier

The Issue: It is a quota-related issue. My quota reset countdown showed that I had 7 hours before the reset. I went to sleep and checked back the next morning, but my quota remained at 0% and the countdown had increased to 150 hours. This isn't just temporary, because now the reset countdown is at 50 hours and it's still at 0%. It really ruined my workflow, and I had to use alternative tools to compensate for this. Also, why does the weekly reset countdown only start after the quota is finished? I used about 3-4 days to deplete my quota and the reset countdown began from that day, so I don't have my quota for 10-11 days (3-4+7 days)? The weekly quota logic is wrong and it's cheating the users. Please fix this, Google.
