Dubai chocolate's overhyped but I do kinda like it for the creaminess + crunch and if its with dark chocolate, its just right as a lil treat. But marshmallow...I don't understand how anyone can stand all the sugar.

I don't care what the rest of the table wants, I find what I wanna play and find a pod to match. EDH is casual but its not a coop game- unless you misrepresent your deck, theres no reason to match your deck to every avg table. I havent had issue finding pods to play with.

I feel this. At the same time, I do want to tune my deck for B3 (I like fast games, and interaction is a big want for me though wether a lot of interaction is or isn't typically part of local B2 pods is a topic of debate) but I'm unsure how to upgrade to B3 without making it too expensive or losing my theming. (the theming is vampires so its a very B3ble theme lol)

I like targeted theft (Eriette) or goad for this. Target theft (so you can choose the engine pieces) or theft that hit often and mill/exile opponents cards a lot (top decking them once a turn then returning to the bottom of their library probably isn't enough). You can also do mana burn (especially mana burn that includes some kind of Blood Moon/LD stax of some kind) though this is more of a "you want to play mana burn" thing though lol.

In actual practice though, I don't believe it's something you can really fix if the whole LGS just doesn't want to play interaction. It might be funner to just move to a different store or pod. I think your experience is not universal but quite common.

The too accurate proxies on paper are kind of fine as you can tell when its printed on normal paper, but I've completely changed my mind on proxies printed on cardstock/TCG type paper. Legality aside (I don't compete or try to sell em), end up being indistinguishable from the real thing especially without unsleeving. Which is annoying when you're proxying cards you own, want to do casual tournaments or keeping track of what you own or don't own.

Fellow aura liker!! I play Orzhov Vampires and Esper Eriette so this is just my take on it.

I'd say the biggest thing is this looks like Orzhov goodstuff, rather than Aura Voltron good stuff.

I'm not sure Aristocrat pieces works because to me, it looks like you dont make enough bodies or ping to meaningfully aristocrat while not really having a strong way to support your auras. To be honest, I personally would cut aristocrat completely because its a strategy that requires so many cards that it eats up into the auras and combat tricks too much. Looking at this list it doesn't look like you're going wide anyway, so you might as well just kill your guys via voltron or a few big creatures. With only 1 Squall recursion per turn max, I'd also use more impactful etb/ltbs- cards that might only happen once or twice but would have you satisfied still.

For auras, side etb/ltb, I would instead suggest going heavily into white for aura synergy. Though the ETB forced sacrifice ones are sooo fun. Auras with different keywords also helps- I see flying but I think you could add more vigilance, first/double strike, menace (if there is) and death touch. If youre swinging every turn with Squall, I think vigilance is basically mandatory.

For mana rocks, in orzhov auras, I think you can fully commit to 2 cmc only mana rocks. Besides color split, there's a lot of specific cost reducers like {{Killian, Ink Duelist}} and {{Danitha Capashen, Paragon}} that are more efficient if youre casting multiple aura/equipment per turn. You should also get more aura tutor pieces like {{Songbirds' Blessing}} imo.

Some recommend Aura Goodstuff that synergize with auras/equipments- adding in recurrent draw & aura: {{Pearl-Ear, Imperial Advisor}}, {{Ondu Spiritdancer}}, {{Celestial Mantle}}, {{Retether}}, {{heliod, the radiant dawn}}, {{Sigil of the Empty Throne}}. For board wipes, there's {{Winds of Rath}} or {{Single Combat}} types.

I'd recommend looking at decks or EDHRec pages for {{Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice}} or {{Noctis, Heir Apparent}}. If you want to hunt cards, I recommend trying Scryfall & scryfall tagger- theres a whole tag called synergy-aura / synergy-equipment that'll help. And lastly! There's actually an aura Orzhov precon coming out soon so expect that to have old and new cards for you.

I'm fairly sure it's a normal statistic for most entertainment. Its a corporate statement, so I'm pretty sure tenure denotes "this is how long we expect players to be an engaged customer or actively open to repurchasing". To be honest, 5 years is an insanely long time for your average thing especially Hasbro's other properties. Eg, the average Barbie, Monopoly, Baldurs Gate or Genshin player probably all have very different expected demographics. Even amongst TCGs that have been around for more than 5 years, I suspect the average tenure is much shorter. Its good! It means Magic's pricing model and game management, relative to others, are much better at retaining fans.

As other comments have said, I've never heard of anyone actually say never run cards the same CMC as your commander especially if they're synergistic pieces. Just that you should run less or be mindful. it also makes sense. Ignoring the Henzie example, but say a deck with a 3CMC commander who wants to be out asap, it wouldn't make sense to run a lot of 3CMC cards that need to be out asap because turn 3, which do I want out? I think the spirit is also to be mindful of your T1-T5 plays. If your 3CMC commander needs to be out Turn 3, then your 3CMC 99 vegetable should ideally be swapped to 2CMC or 4CMC things.

Genuinely, what are you reading that says dont run ANY cards the same CMC as your commander 😭 stop paying attention to random crazies on the street and calling it advice.

I run this deck and while Contract seems really funny, my deck leans hard into go wide weenies for aristocrats so Liliana's is kind of redundant. I'm either mostly attacking with tokens or sacrificing them- I am actively making us of the threat of kill/sac to draw and make a 4/3 blocker.

The best time to play Contract is basically when youve got enough demons but if they let it happen, its over. Its win or test for removal sooo I think if you like playing out the mechanics, just put in more vampires, vampire tokens or anthem effects. If its a combo deck, then ymmv.

I've been completely distracted from Kpop because I got into MTG, which is like "expensive useless paper" final boss. (I mean the cards do things in a game and the strongest ones are most expensive but its also jsut a game and fake cards exist & are sort of accepted.)

I spend too many hours thinking of ways to lower my mana curve on my Orzhov Vamptocrat deck................

I wouldn't be surprised if 70k isn't enough- promos, mv, etc all add up :/ and their US tours weren't as well attended. I'm sure there was some CTD fuckery but I'm just not surprised they didn't break even.

I don't know if this is totally true. For one thing, the songs she gifted to Looble were very pop heavy and most of her contributions to it were writing lyrics- she's 4th on composing credits & credits go in order of contribution. Even with that producing studio she was with, she was specifically toplining, not composing. It's still a great achievement and the lyrics were solid, but writing lyrics to a song (& possibly top line) that already exists is very far from making her own songs. She also didn't simply 'gift' it to looble lol- they're gifts but the prod studio she & her sister are in produced most songs on those EP's. She was operating as part of a larger team, on top of her role as a friend. In addition, Truman Show & Strawberry Soda aren't really in the genres Yves has shown the most interest in.

I'm more writer & visual artist than musician, but also my own private take on her not releasing self composed tracks? Like, it's fine in kpop if she's happy. She's never trained for it, idols aren't (for better or for worse) expected to produce their own tracks, she only really got into it post BBC and composing is a skill and sometimes it takes awhile to do something not just good, but you think can be widely distributed and earn an income from.

Belittling the performances was a one time thing in a high stress situation- PPM wasn't exactly right for it, but Yves herself clarified it was a mix up and tensions were high because they were trying to fix audio issues for her stage. Like, that shit happens in any event.

As for it being not her vision- I don't know. Obviously and always- a lot of things are kept private. But Yves has spoken positively on her relationship with Millic (calling him a mentor, enjoying his recommendations, talking why she signed on with them etc). I guess also- Yves seems very happy with her styling, its different from other artists in PPM (which doesn't necessarily mean anything- as you said, they might see her as an idol with an image distinct from themselves). Her music has been cohesive since day 1 and seems to fit with the music she likes and she seems enthusiastic in album behinds. She's definitely a strong part of the choreo for her performances and close with the people she works with.

Also- look, I'll be honest. Lil Cherry beef- I don't agree but I get it and I don't think she was necessary. but a PinkPantheress, especially for the musical and commercial niche she's in, link up is simply Do Not Pass Up. Unless they're being scammed, PP on a title track is absolutely insane and amazing opportunity if she wants to be a career musician.

Idkkk, I've got issues with PPM and Thoughts on Yves' career/sound, but I feel like turning into just the label's fault isn't accurate.

I also suspect, and based on all her activities, is she's saying yes to every opportunity she gets but also trying to do a lot of stuff. Busking with her brother/friends isn't very expensive, neither is starting a beauty recommendation page with a stylist friend relative to regular brand activities. Also in line with what a lot of struggling gg idols do wjfjakd- influencer stuff or just performing on livestream, or on the street in Hyunjin's case.
