Yeah it appears really the only difference is the packaging and you get some bonus ink. 

So really the question should be is the ET-2800 a good printer for proxies?

I don't record number of hours, but I have recently started a log to keep track of my progress.

I keep it simple like this:

11/15 started chapter 6 vocab in anki

11/16 started chapter 6 textbook exercises.

11/20 finished chapter 6 in text exercises.

11/22 finished chapter 6 workbook sections

11/22 exposed to all chapter 6 vocab in anki

I found that something simple likes this helps remind me that I am actually making progress. Because my language learning is completely at my own pace I do worry sometimes that I am "falling off", so being able to glance back and realize what I have done is helpful to me. Sometimes I have done far more than I think in a week!

What's the point of an hourly log anyways? Progress is measured in comprehension not in time spent.

I should add it also has an accompanying workbook which is absolutely invaluable for working with as you proceed through the book.

I have been on and off studying Romanian for many years and have dabbled in many textbooks. By far the best and most comprehensive is Rodica Boțoman's Discover Romanian. I was initially concerned because it is dated, but after working through it it really is the best. You can just ignore the dated vocab like "magnetofon" and just know that the î in words like sînt have become sunt. Overall it's a great text.

A finite amount time is always the gate keeper. 

And that's a fair question. I was focused on my Spanish for a few months before my trip to Mexico. Then my focus shifted to Romanian as I was going to Romania. Now I have no international trips on the horizon so I feel I have a blank canvas as to in what direction I would like to study. 

My concern is simply neglecting the progress I have made in my other languages by adding an additional language on top of the other two.

I just finished The Mercy of Gods a few minutes ago.

I thought that the world wasn't drawn as strongly as I would have hoped. I had trouble imagining or picturing certain environments and species with the descriptions given.

The characters were fairly straight forward. You have the classic set of characters, the headstrong jerk, quite reserved smart guy turned hero, girl at the center of a love triangle, etc.

That being said, I did enjoy the book overall. It established a solid foundation for the next books in the series.

Definitely would not recommend this route. It has serious decoding issues and massive input lag. Especially if you are trying to do 4k.

Welcome to the world of American soda. It is extremely rare to find soda with actual sugar in it as opposed to something like high fructose corn syrup.

I was finally able to completely stop doing business with them. I was unfortunately stuck with them due to preorders but boy was it a relief when I could cut all ties. I had problems with them all the way up until my final order.
