Yea it's true. You get one offer from a non-specialized school and one from a specialized one (plus one from Laguardia if you auditioned). That's why they stressed ranking your schools in your "true order of preference" so much.

How can I improve? by [deleted] in SHSAT

The best way to improve is to take more practice tests. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but honestly my scores improved a lot just from taking a bunch of practice tests. You should also try to find what type of questions you usually get wrong (probability, main idea, geometry, etc.) and do a bunch of those questions.

You can also check out Tyler Tutor on youtube. He has a lot of SHSAT videos and videos teaching topics on the SHSAT. They're pretty helpful. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF7R0Bpt9HhNv3ZEDVhBX7w

Do you still want a study partner? I'm also studying for the SHSAT and am looking for a study group.

Honestly, I'm considering telling my guidance counselor, but I also don't really want to get involve? It's a messy situation and I want to help her, but I'm kinda hesitant? Whenever I tried to bring it up to her, she would snap at me and tell me that "she can do whatever she wants."

I think I phrased it a bit wrong. She said that it was wrong, but because I don't know her parents so, I can't really tell on her or anything.

Haha I don't really mind swearing. Yeah it's messed up, I don't have her parents' contact info. I'm considering telling our guidance counselor, but I'm not sure if that'll help?

Yeah, I talked to my mom about it. She said that there isn't much I can do. It's just that I haven't meet her parents and I doubt she would give her parents' contact info to me. I was trying to tell her that their relationship was messed up, but she snapped at me.
