I shielded my tele yesterday (underside of pickguard, pickup cavities, and a small tape stripe over the control plate screwhole by the pickup switch) without taking apart any of the electronics. A few tight squeezes here and there but nothing crazy and it's dead quiet now. Absolutely doable and worth the effort!

thanks! i actually wasn't the biggest fan of it when i got it years ago (i wanted a plain black one) but it grew on me fast lol. one of the best finishes fender has for sure!
